What will you do?
A day in the life of a Paid Media Associate at Vans looks a little like this.
As the Paid Media Associate, you will work directly with the North America Paid Media team in the planning and execution of integrated paid media. You will collaborate with key team members on eCommerce and Marketing to align on business goals and priorities. You will be responsible for set up and optimization of digital media campaigns on social, search, shopping, and affiliate, with support from our media agency partners. This role will report into the head of Paid Media.

• Media Strategy Execution: Assist in the execution of media strategies by supporting the planning and buying process. Help with the setup and monitoring of media campaigns across various channels and ensure all campaign assets are correctly implemented, and deadlines are met.
• Performance Analysis and Optimization: Collect and organize data related to media campaign performance. Assist in preparing performance reports and presentations. Support the Manager in identifying areas for optimization and implementing changes to improve campaign outcomes.
• Cross Functional Collaboration: You will help schedule and organize meetings and communication between the media team and marketing teams to align on seasonal campaigns and product priorities. With strong administrative skills, you’ll help prepare meeting materials, take detailed notes and follow up on action items. You will also assist in managing relationships with external partners and agencies to ensure smooth execution of media plans.

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3-5 years of related experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
• 3-5 years of direct-to-consumer performance media experience
• Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest
• Affiliate marketing experience i.e. referral links, influencers, etc.
• Ability to navigate and interpret reporting tools like Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Datorama
There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.
• Experience with lifestyle apparel/footwear brand is a plus
• Understanding of Canadian market is a plus
• Experience and interest in brand media and marketing
• Amazon or marketplace marketing experience
