Excellent VP EMEA opportunity B2B Products / Multi Channel Sales Client Details Due to continued growth and investment a Vice President / General Manager EMEA opportunity has arisen within a global market leading supplier of btob products. The EMEA business supplies a wide range of both own label and market leading brands as products, systems and solutions to professional contractors, dealers and installers across the built environment for residential smart home and commercial buildings applications. The Vice President will be responsible for the overall leadership of the European business with full P&L responsibilities for circa $500M in annual sales and circa 800 employees across the region. Description • Establish a strategic vision for the business, drive a customer centric, high accountability culture that supports appropriate risk taking and decision making from the team. • Own the overall European P&L to include achieving the annual budget: Revenue, Gross Margin, Operating Income, CFFO. • Lead with influence in a matrixed structure, aligning cross-functional teams to business goals despite limited direct reporting lines. • Drive commercial effectiveness across a multi channel sales approach including a main hub and spoke distribution model with local wholesale branch networks, technical sales, key accounts and digital/e-commerce channels. • Foster a culture of collaboration and shared accountability across functions and geographies. • Understand how market dynamics and industry trends may affect business needs and align business objectives to leverage these dynamics/trends • Inspire the team to leverage all aspects of established/new commercial effectiveness programs to ensure desired results in a competitive marketplace. • Lead cross functional teams of Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, and HR with responsibility of developing and delivering growth strategies and managing the success of the business. • Attract, develop, and retain talent within the organization through effective performance management, development planning and succession management. • Lead continuous improvement efforts while ensuring alignment and consistency with functional leaders through robust management operating systems. • Lead growth initiatives; develop business plans, team member and customer value propositions to support new business opportunities. • Lead change across the region to ensure commercial effectiveness is aligned with the season of the business. Profile • Demonstrable success operating within a B2B multi-channel sales distribution role environment operating a Hub and Spoke model. • Experience within the building products distribution sector such as HVAC, building automation, ironmongery, access control or industrial products distribution would be preferred, however not essential. • Proven in leading high-performing sales or commercial effectiveness teams, with a proven ability to drive results and energize teams; clear ability to articulate a sales management process. • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and the ability to motivate teams around what truly matters, especially during periods of change or challenge. • Excel at collaboration and influence, engaging peers, executives, customers, and cross-functional teams with credibility and clarity. • Strategic and analytical thinking, consistently applying sound business judgment to deliver insights and measurable outcomes. • Highly organized and process-focused, able to prioritize effectively, manage multiple initiatives, and implement sustainable, scalable solutions. • Can commute when not travelling to a Head Office in the West Midlands / North West region.
