A leading consumer products company is seeking a visionary VP of Global Social Media Operations to oversee and optimize the global social ecosystem across multiple brands and markets. Key Responsibilities
Global Social Strategy & Operations
β’ Architect and evolve a global social media framework, including governance, KPIs, workflows, and execution models
β’ Translate brand strategies into robust, scalable operations across organic, paid, earned, and social commerce channels
β’ Ensure global cohesion while enabling local market agility and relevance
Cross-Functional & Regional Collaboration
β’ Build strong alignment across internal teams: creative, digital media, data/analytics, influencer, customer service, and legal
β’ Serve as the central point of integration between global headquarters and regional/local social teams
β’ Champion knowledge sharing, process standardization, and cross-functional communication
Technology & Innovation
β’ Define the global social tech stack vision (social listening, publishing, analytics, UGC management, etc.)
β’ Identify, test, and implement new technologies including AI, automation, generative content, and social commerce platforms
β’ Ensure tools are optimized and integrated to support data visibility, performance, and collaboration
Talent Development & Enablement
β’ Build and manage a high-performing team across central, regional, and market-based roles
β’ Develop and implement global training initiatives to elevate social fluency and operational capabilities
β’ Lead efforts to promote DEI, career growth, and cultural cohesion across dispersed teams and agencies
Performance, Risk & Governance
β’ Establish real-time monitoring of social channels for insights, reputation management, and crisis readiness
β’ Oversee compliance with global regulations, platform policy updates, and brand safety standards
β’ Deliver performance reporting and executive briefings on key metrics, trends, and emerging risks
Required Qualifications
β’ 12+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or communications, with 5+ years in a senior global leadership role
