Drivepoint & Team Context • About Drivepoint: Drivepoint is a Series A AI-powered vertical software startup revolutionizing retail and commerce operations by providing cutting-edge AI solutions for financial forecasting, reporting and scenario planning, along with new products for demand planning and inventory. • Why This Role Matters NOW: Drivepoint has achieved strong product-market fit and initial traction. This role is absolutely critical right now to accelerate our market penetration and pipeline generation. We need a visionary and execution-focused leader to scale our inbound and outbound engine, unlock new customer acquisition channels, and build the team that will drive our next phase of hyper-growth, directly contributing to our revenue targets and market leadership. • Team Dynamics: You will be joining an executive leadership team characterized by innovation, data-driven decision-making, and a strong bias for action. This is a foundational role where you'll build the entire Growth function from the ground up, integrating closely with our Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure seamless funnel optimization and market alignment. III. The Mission (The 1-Year Impact) • Core Mission: 5x the number of net new sales opportunities within the next 12 months, significantly accelerating Drivepoint's revenue growth trajectory and market presence. IV. Outcomes (Key Results For Success) • Sales Opportunity Generation: Achieve a 5x increase in actionable net new sales opportunities within 12 months, consistently meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly targets. • Growth Program Operationalization & Optimization: Design, implement, and rigorously optimize a scalable inbound and outbound growth engine, enhancing the performance of existing programs and establishing clear ROI metrics for all initiatives. • New Channel Identification & Deployment: Establish a systematic framework for ranking, testing, and successfully deploying at least 3-5 new, high-impact growth channels or programs that demonstrably contribute to pipeline generation within the first year. • Growth Team Building & Empowerment: Recruit, onboard, and lead a high-performing, diverse Growth team including FTEs, strategically selected agencies/contractors, and effectively integrate AI agents to maximize efficiency, scale, and output. • Data-Driven Growth Analytics & Reporting: Implement robust reporting and analytics frameworks to provide real-time insights into funnel performance, campaign effectiveness, and customer acquisition costs, enabling rapid, data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement. V. Competencies (How Success Will Be Achieved) • Technical/Functional Competencies: • • Growth Strategy & Execution (B2B SaaS): Proven expertise in developing and executing comprehensive growth strategies within a fast-paced B2B SaaS environment, ideally with experience in vertical SaaS. • Demand Generation & Digital Marketing Mastery: Deep understanding and hands-on experience across a broad spectrum of digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, content, social, email, ABM, etc.) and demand generation tactics to drive qualified leads. • AI-Supported Content Generation: Deep understanding of current AI landscape for content development and production pipelines and provable hands-on experience with production grade AI tools (we’ll ask to see you use them in real time) • Performance Marketing & Analytics: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies that optimize spend and maximize ROI. • Team Building & Leadership (Hybrid Models): Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and lead high-performing teams, including managing external agencies/contractors and effectively leveraging AI tools/agents for enhanced productivity. • Product-Led Growth Acumen: Understanding of how product can be leveraged as a growth engine, with a strong ability to collaborate effectively with product teams. • Drivepoint Cultural & Behavioral Competencies: • • Ownership & Accountability: Takes full responsibility for growth targets, proactively identifies challenges, and drives solutions with relentless focus on measurable results. • Innovation & Adaptability: Thrives in ambiguity, continually identifies and tests new approaches to growth, and quickly adapts strategies based on market feedback and data insights. • Data-Driven Decision Making: Possesses a strong analytical mindset, making decisions backed by data and metrics, and instilling this discipline across the team. • Exceptional Communication & Cross-functional Collaboration: Articulates complex growth strategies clearly and persuasively, fostering strong partnerships across Sales, Product, and other internal teams. • Resourcefulness & Problem-Solving: Creative and pragmatic in overcoming obstacles inherent to a startup, leveraging available resources (including AI) to achieve ambitious goals. Pre-requisites & Minimum Qualifications • 8+ years of progressive experience in Growth or Marketing leadership roles within a B2B SaaS company. • Proven and demonstrable track record of achieving significant, quantifiable growth (e.g., 3-4x pipeline/revenue acceleration) in previous leadership positions. • Specific leadership experience in retail/commerce technology strongly preferred • Experience building, scaling, and managing diverse teams (including FTE, contractors/agencies, and an understanding of AI tool integration) from the ground up. • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or Master's a plus.
