Job Title: Web Developer III (Technical SEO | Remote - Bay Area preferred )
Location: Remote - Bay Area preferred
Duration: 6 months (Possible Extensions or potential Contract to Hire)
Our client is seeking a skilled Web Developer with strong technical SEO experience to join their central web development team. This role combines modern web development with search engine optimization best practices to help drive performance, visibility, and discoverability across large-scale marketing websites.

Key Responsibilities:
Configure and manage site metadata, robots.txt, canonical tags, and 301 redirects
Maintain and optimize sitemaps, hreflang tags, structured data, and site crawlability
Identify and fix site issues such as 404/500 errors and broken links
Enable Server-Side Rendering (SSR) where appropriate to optimize for search engine crawlers
Monitor website performance and speed; implement necessary improvements
Collaborate with product, content, and engineering teams to deliver SEO-optimized solutions
Build internal tools or utilities to streamline SEO tasks and monitoring
Develop clean, semantic HTML/CSS/JavaScript for SEO-friendly pages
Requirements:
5–7 years of hands-on experience in both technical SEO and front-end web development
Strong coding skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Ability to implement SEO at the code level, not just strategy
Experience working within cross-functional teams
Familiar with website performance monitoring, accessibility, and structured data
Nice to Have:
Experience with large-scale marketing or eCommerce websites
Google or similar SEO certifications
Full-stack exposure (React, Node.js, etc.) is a plus
