Accounting Analyst (with eCommerce Focus) Location: Plano, Texas Type: On-site, Full-time Department: Finance & Operations Reports To: President About the Role We’re looking for a highly analytical and organized Accounting Analyst to lead our eCommerce profitability tracking while supporting our broader accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on spreadsheets, loves digging into numbers, and wants to make a measurable impact on financial performance across platforms like Amazon, Walmart, and eBay. You'll work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Logistics teams to monitor costs, reconcile platform payments, and improve reporting accuracy, while also supporting our main accountant with core accounting processes like POs, shipping invoices, RMA tracking, and tax prep. Core ResponsibilitieseCommerce Profitability & Reconciliation (Primary Focus – 60-70%) β€’ Reconcile eCommerce platform payouts (Amazon, Walmart, TikTok, etc.) against internal orders and warehouse records. β€’ Analyze COGS, shipping fees, return costs, platform fees, chargebacks, and fraud to provide true profitability insights. β€’ Build dashboards and reports to track margin trends and profitability by platform, SKU, and channel. β€’ Identify and escalate discrepancies in payments, deductions, and return policies. β€’ Collaborate with the eCommerce and Warehouse teams to ensure inventory movement aligns with platform reporting. General Accounting & Financial Operations (30–40%) β€’ Prepare and process purchase orders, invoices, and wire confirmations. β€’ Maintain and update tracking systems for order shipments, payment status, and inventory reconciliation. β€’ Review and dispute shipping invoices when charges are inaccurate or delayed. β€’ Support month-end and year-end close, including accruals, expense classification, and reconciliations. β€’ Prepare sales tax reports (e.g., TX Sales & Use Tax) and assist with federal filings (e.g., Form 1120). β€’ Manage RMA tracking and ensure credit memos are accurately recorded. Minimum Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. β€’ Intermediate-Advanced Excel skills required: VLOOKUP, INDEXMATCH, Pivot Tables, IF statements, and multi-sheet analysis. β€’ Familiarity with eCommerce platforms, reporting and financial dashboards (e.g., Amazon Seller Central) β€’ Strong grasp of cost analysis, reconciliation, and transaction auditing. β€’ Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot financial discrepancies quickly. β€’ Bilingual in English + Chinese Preferred Qualifications β€’ 2+ years of experience in accounting or FP&A, preferably in an eCommerce or wholesale business. β€’ Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or other ERP/accounting platforms. β€’ SQL or Tableau/Power BI skills a plus. β€’ Strong communication skills and experience working cross-functionally with non-finance teams.
