Job description Role Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Amazon Account Manager to join our sales team. This individual will own the strategic and operational management of the company’s Amazon business through Vendor Central (1P) and Seller Central (3P). This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, operational efficiency, and e-commerce expertise to drive growth, profitability, and brand consistency on the Amazon platform. A critical function of this role is serving as the primary point of contact with our external Amazon representative group, acting as the internal liaison to ensure alignment, execution, and performance across all areas of the Amazon channel. This in office role is based in Fairfield, New Jersey and we are seeking a candidate from the Tri-State area. Ontel Products Corporation is a consumer products company that launches new and innovative direct to consumer brands. Ontel has generated over $5 billion in sales. Key Responsibilities 1. Account Management • Own day-to-day operations of the Amazon Vendor Central (1P) and Seller Central (3P) accounts including listings, content, promotions, inventory, pricing, and performance metrics. • Act as the main liaison between the company and the external Amazon Partners, managing communication, strategic planning, and follow-through on initiatives. • Serve as the primary liaison with Amazon representatives and internal cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, logistics, finance). • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like sales, ACoS, TACoS, ROAS, Buy Box %, and customer ratings. 1. Sales and Growth Strategy • Develop and execute growth strategies to increase sales, share of voice, and profitability on Amazon. • Forecast and plan sales targets and budgets in collaboration with leadership. • Identify opportunities for new product launches and ASIN optimization. 1. Advertising and Marketing • Plan, implement, and optimize Amazon Advertising (PPC) campaigns including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display. • Collaborate with creative teams to produce high-converting A+ Content, product images, copy, and videos. • Utilize Amazon DSP and other tools (if applicable) to drive brand awareness and conversion. 1. Operations and Logistics • Manage inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain to prevent stockouts or overstocking. • Monitor Amazon chargebacks, shortage claims, and ensure compliance with platform policies. • Utilize tools such as Helium 10 or Jungle Scout for competitive and performance analysis. 1. Data Analysis & Reporting • Conduct weekly and monthly reporting on sales, advertising spend, and customer metrics. • Leverage tools such as Amazon Brand Analytics and Business Reports to drive insights and action. • Recommend tactical adjustments based on data trends and market dynamics. Qualifications Required: • 2–5 years of Amazon account management experience, ideally in a consumer packaged goods (CPG) or DTC brand. • Strong knowledge of Seller Central and/or Vendor Central platforms. • Proficiency in Amazon Advertising (PPC), inventory management, and listing optimization. • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, data dashboards, and Amazon tools. • Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills. Preferred: • Experience with external e-commerce tools (e.g., Perpetua, Pacvue, Feedvisor). • Knowledge of omni-channel retail strategy including brick-and-mortar integration. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
