The Application Developer position will be a 100% hands-on role and will support both company and project team endeavors. The Application Developer will participate in the full life cycle of agile or waterfall projects by designing and developing user interfaces and applications, with experience developing e-commerce solutions. They will need to be skilled in conducting unit testing to ensure high quality bug-free code and implementing code into higher level environments. Additional duties include project coordination, following configuration management practices, and ensuring proper code management techniques. The Application Developer will need to have a strong understanding of business requirements, user stories, and technical constraints. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a diverse environment and be able to multitask many work streams at once. This associate will mentor junior staff and have been able to take 100% ownership of tasks assigned. Required Skills And Qualifications • Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of relevant work experience • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder • Minimum 5+ years of experience as mid to senior level application developer • Experience in e-commerce application development and project coordination • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages • Experience with web development workflows and best practices • Experience with tools like GitHub for version control and collaboration • Proficiency in SQL/MySQL database technologies • Strong understanding of UX principles and application design • Experience with design, development, unit testing, and code implementation • Strong knowledge of Section 508 compliance requirements for web applications • Experience in creating compliant artifacts and documentation for web applications • Understanding of configuration management and proper code management techniques • Ability to contribute to design and architecture discussions • Experience in creating design/technical documentation • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology and tools (such as Version One, Rally, or JIRA) Desired Skills And Qualifications • Cloud certified • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks • Knowledge of accessibility testing tools
