Business Systems Manager Position Summary: The Business Systems Manager will lead the strategy, implementation, and ongoing support of key enterprise applications, including ERP, WMS, EDI, and eCommerce systems. This hands-on role will serve as a critical bridge between IT and business operations, ensuring that all systems are aligned with company goals and delivering maximum operational efficiency. Business Systems Manager Responsibilities: • Own the full lifecycle of business-critical systems: selection, implementation, integration, upgrade, and support. • Lead cross-functional system initiatives, including ERP, EDI, and eCommerce projects—from planning to execution. • Manage and maintain the company’s EDI infrastructure, including mapping, integration, onboarding trading partners, and monitoring transactions. • Oversee all aspects of project delivery: scope, timeline, stakeholder communication, and team coordination. • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions based on evolving business needs, including system upgrades or new implementations. • Partner with internal departments to understand process challenges and deliver system-based improvements. • Act as the primary liaison to third-party software vendors, consultants, and integration partners. • Ensure data integrity across connected platforms and optimize data flows between back-end systems and customer-facing applications. • Develop and manage API integrations between cloud and on-premises systems. • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, process flows, and integration guides. • Stay current with emerging technologies that impact supply chain, e-commerce, and customer engagement. Business Systems Manager Qualifications: • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT or business systems roles, including 2+ years managing enterprise applications. • Strong experience with ERP, EDI, and eCommerce platforms, including systems integration. • Demonstrated project leadership across departments, including vendor and consultant coordination. • Analytical mindset with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication skills and attention to documentation best practices. • Familiarity with SQL, APIs, or data integration is a plus. • Strong organizational and project management skills, including budgeting and milestone tracking.
