This is an Onsite position based at our location in Gastonia, NC.
The Automotive Parts Catalog Data Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing accurate and comprehensive automotive parts catalogs to support internal systems, customer platforms, and aftermarket sales. This role involves analyzing OEM and aftermarket data for On & Off Road vehicles, interpreting technical specifications, and ensuring catalog content aligns with industry standards such as ACES and PIES. The analyst collaborates closely with product managers, engineers, and IT teams to ensure data integrity, enhance user experience, and support business objectives. A strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and familiarity with automotive systems are essential for success in this role.
Job Responsibilities
β’ Interpret and input vehicle and part data into catalog systems using ACES/PIES standards
β’ Analyze OEM documentation, service manuals, and technical drawings to ensure accurate part-to-vehicle associations
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data discrepancies and improve catalog accuracy
β’ Monitor and update catalog content based on new product releases, supersessions, and application changes
β’ Support e-commerce and digital platforms with optimized and user-friendly catalog data
β’ Cultivate and nurture relationships with local dealers to obtain crucial Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) part numbers, model numbers, and part footnotes
β’ Continuously monitor major market competitors to ensure alignment of our product offerings and maintain parity
β’ Facilitate the Sample Ordering process for new OE filters, ensuring seamless integration into our product line
β’ Collaborate with the team on various research projects as needed to support organizational objectives
Requirements
Education:
β’ Associateβs or Bachelorβs degree in Automotive Technology, Data Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience:
β’ Minimum of 2 yearsβ experience in conducting web-based research, and/or 2+ years in the Heavy-Duty vehicle or automotive parts industry
Required Skills:
β’ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
β’ Experience with Excel, data management systems, and ERP platforms
β’ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Strongly Preferred Experience & Skills:
β’ Proficiency with ACES/PIES standards and cataloging tools (e.g., OptiCat, TecDoc, or similar)
β’ Familiarity with the Automotive, Construction Equipment, Farm Equipment, or Trucking industries
β’ Knowledge of parts schematics and drawings, enhancing the ability to interpret and analyze technical data
