Job Summary:
Hyve Group plc is a company that connects global industry communities through events and online platforms. They are seeking a Content Director to build conference agendas, identify speakers, and assist in executing their annual conferences focused on retail and consumer brands.
Responsibilities:
β’ Researching, analyzing and determining the topics to cover on our agendas to help ensure that Shoptalk remains at the forefront of thought leadership for retail & ecommerce, and continues to be a voice for change and development in the industry
β’ Writing in-depth descriptions of tracks and sessions, and summarizing speaker biographies
β’ Helping to identify and recruit 200+ senior-level speakers from large brands and retailers, venture-backed startups, tech companies, investors, consulting firms and more for Shoptalk Spring and Fall.
β’ Joining calls with speakers and moderators to shape the conversations that will take place at each event, and ensuring each session provides value to our audience
β’ Reviewing and providing feedback on speakersβ presentations and interviewer questions to ensure they provide value to our audience and align with session topics
β’ Helping to shape our topics and conversations for our Tabletalks peer discussion groups
β’ Helping to manage the execution of Tabletalks peer discussion groups
β’ Working with other teams at Shoptalk including sponsorship, marketing, design and event logistics to ensure a world-class experience for all event attendees
β’ Providing on-site support at Shoptalk to ensure content onstage runs smoothly and speakers and attendees have a fantastic experience
β’ Ensuring the entire Shoptalk team is familiar with key trends and technologies reshaping the industry by leading lunch-and-learns and sharing industry news and knowledge
Qualifications:
Required:
β’ Minimum 5 years of work experience
β’ Experience in the retail or ecommerce industry at a brand, retailer, startup, consulting firm, research organization, media outlet or related organization
β’ Extremely strong writing skills and attention to detail
β’ Ability to quickly analyze and distill industry information
β’ Confidence communicating with senior executives
β’ Experience presenting or speaking in front of large groups
β’ Intense curiosity about how retail is changing
β’ Self-motivated, willing to take on new tasks, and adept at multitasking in a fast-changing and dynamic environment
β’ Experience collaborating on team projects and working with others across departments
β’ Availability to work three days in the office (at Shoptalkβs HQ in New York City)
