Role description
Digital Commerce Consultant, Strategist, Contract Location: London, hybrid with global stakeholders Start: ASAP Introduction I am partnering with an award-winning, global commerce marketing organisation to find a Digital Commerce Consultant, Strategist. The team works across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, delivering connected commerce solutions for blue-chip brands, with a growth focus at the heart of everything they do. The Role You will accelerate digital commerce performance across priority markets, shaping strategy, translating data into action, and ensuring global to local alignment. You will design market playbooks, stand up reporting in new markets, and collaborate across internal and external teams to drive measurable commercial outcomes. Expect to combine advanced analytics with pragmatic execution, balancing quick wins with long-term growth initiatives, while influencing senior stakeholders and developing scalable best practice. Responsibilities include: • Lead digital commerce excellence, providing a consultative viewpoint on where and how to win across markets, portfolios, and channels • Own expert guidance across key channels, for example eGrocery, pureplay, q-commerce, and specialist beverage retailers • Turn digital shelf reporting into clear, commercial narratives, deploying reporting tech in new markets and embedding adoption • Build market and customer blueprints for repeatable, best-in-class rollout, using agile test and learn to refine strategy • Align global and local teams, maintain prioritisation frameworks, and communicate progress to leadership • Manage scope and delivery end-to-end, contribute to QBRs, award entries, and new business materials • Stay on top of retail media and commerce trends, identifying growth opportunities and partner solutions • Feed client insights to the solutions roadmap and help maintain knowledge assets across the team • Support and mentor junior talent, foster collaboration with adjacent teams such as Retail Media and Commerce Strategy You, skills and experience: • Broad experience across digital commerce channels, with practical knowledge of how to activate and win with key retailers • Track record across retail media, content, data and analytics, shopper and in-store, and retailer relationships • Knowledge of building eJBP programmes for priority customers • Hands-on exposure to digital shelf technologies and content management systems • Comfortable partnering with diverse client functions, for example sales and marketing, and navigating common challenges • Strategic mindset, able to spot opportunities to hit KPIs, streamline delivery, and automate where sensible • Strong multi-project management, delivering on time and within budget to client expectations Behaviours • Entrepreneurial, proactive, resilient, growth-minded • Curious, ownership of learning, uplifting team capability • Clear communicator, expectation management, builds rapport • Adaptable, collaborative, comfortable in a fast-paced agency setting • Creative and strategic thinker, brings new ideas to overcome challenges How to apply Send your CV and a short note on your most impactful ecommerce initiative, including the problem, your approach, and the commercial outcome.
