Customer Marketing Manager
Position Summary
Sonoma Gourmet is looking for a Customer Marketing Manager. This position directs and trade investments across channels to achieve both sales and spending targets. This role will partner with Sales and Marketing teams to identify and implement growth opportunities that align with business objectives and agreed upon budgets. This role resides in our office in the Nashville area.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Trade spend management
• Develop, facilitate, and execute Sonoma Gourmet trade marketing strategies.
• Partner with internal Sales Teams, develop and deploy optimized trade budgets that balance brand support with the customer and financial targets of the company.
• Provide monthly reporting and analysis including but not limited to distribution goal attainment, ROI on customer specific trade programs, promotional accrual management and volume and spend forecast for the brand.
• Coordinate with sales team to build and maintain monthly demand forecast including current business, new distribution, and promotional lift.
• Partner with Brand to develop innovation, and strategies to launch innovation with targeted customers.
• Prepare sales presentations that will be used by sales with key customers.
• Develop item launch plans with sales team that will drive trial of new items at key customers.
• Own e-commerce sales and marketing and develop sales strategies deliver sales objectives.
• Manage and maintain the e-commerce sites, orders, and 3PL fulfilment warehouses.
Qualifications
Education/ Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree required in Business Analytics, Finance or Marketing
• Experience in Business Analytics, Finance, and Trade Marketing preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in sales, trade marketing, or finance at a CPG food organization
• Experience utilizing excel to understand/optimize data and derive key business insights.
• Experience with POS data, syndicated data, IRI, etc.
Other Skills
• Highly analytical, detail oriented
• Excellent oral, written and communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, set priorities and plan.
• Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively at all levels.
• Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimal direction.
• Must be self-motivated, a self-starter and results oriented.
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in operating cross-functionally.
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and able to take an “active” leadership role in creating business processes to maximize program effectiveness.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, with strong Excel and Power point skills
