Role description
The Mom Project is excited to support our client with their search for an experienced Data Scientist to join their team on a contract basis. We're looking for a highly skilled and results-driven Data Scientist to bolster our client's Marketing Science team. This role is centered around supporting the experimentation roadmap through experiment scoping, power analyses, test monitoring, and post-test analysis. We’re looking for someone who can not only be a hands-on executor but also provide thought leadership for improving the testing process and velocity. Responsibilities β€’ Collaborating with marketing stakeholders across Brand Media, Lifecycle Marketing, Product Marketing, CRM, or Acquisition Marketing to on experimentation. β€’ Partner with stakeholders on scoping experiments and providing power analyses before the experiment starts. β€’ Monitoring live experiments and sharing regular updates. β€’ Completing post-test analyses. β€’ Providing regular insights to data leadership on improvements in the experimentation process or technology to accelerate the testing velocity. Skills And Qualifications β€’ A bachelor’s in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field β€’ A minimum of 4 years of experience in data science and analytics roles within technology brands, with a preference for experience in a two-sided marketplace or e-commerce domain. β€’ Advanced knowledge of SQL and the ability to write efficient SQL code. β€’ Advanced knowledge of Python and relevant experimentation packages. β€’ Experience with A/B testing for marketing. β€’ Experience with match market testing or other causal inference approaches. β€’ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts to audiences of varying technical proficiency. β€’ A strategic mindset capable of translating business problems into analytics opportunities and solutions. β€’ A collaborative attitude that fosters a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization. β€’ An innovative spirit that thrives on exploring new ideas and approaches to solve challenging problems. Hours and Location β€’ Monday - Friday, 40 hours /week β€’ Hybrid in NYC or 100% remote in EST hours We offer a competitive salary range for this position.
