Job Description
About the Role:
While you’ll have heard our name, there’s a lot you probably don’t know about NEXT. Like how we facilitate e-commerce for numerous other brands that don’t have the scale and know-how we do. And that after over 150 years, we’re growing faster than ever.
Our Digital Marketing Communications team is at the heart of our growth strategy for the NEXT app. We're looking for an experienced Digital Communications Lead to help drive our app forward. Reporting to the Digital Communications Channel Manager, you will be a key player in a large, global team of marketers. This role will see you delivering our Push programme and supporting the wider marketing team to grow our app's database in both the UK and internationally. The goal is for you to become our subject matter expert for App marketing.
You will collaborate with key stakeholders to create and implement strategic campaigns that not only increase sales but also improve customer recruitment and retention. A significant part of this role will be to oversee, develop, and execute all push marketing campaigns, from one-off sends to complex recurring and triggered communications. You'll also drive the analysis of campaign performance, turning data into actionable insights to shape future strategy.
As a leader within the team, you will manage a small group of marketing executives, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Please note this is a 12 month FTC covering parental leave, starting October/November 2025.
About You:
You will have:
• Marketing experience, ideally gained in a retail environment and working on push, SMS, or email campaigns.
• Proven experience in managing or leading a team, including setting objectives and fostering professional growth.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to be self-motivated, highly organised, and adaptable in a changing environment, staying calm under pressure.
• A creative and inquisitive nature with a thirst to learn more.
• An aptitude for attention to detail.
• Intermediate level user of the Google Suite.
In addition, we're looking for you to have:
• Experience with push service platforms, though this isn't essential if you have a background in email and CRM platforms.
• The ability to take direction and deliver tasks accordingly.
• A "can-do" attitude and be an effective team player.
You'll be doing all this from our Leicestershire Head Office on a hybrid basis for a 12 month FTC starting in October/November 2025. It's a fast-paced, encouraging, and supportive environment where everyone is committed to delivering for our customers and growing their own careers. Bring your energy. Play to your strengths. Let's Take It On.
