Role description
About the Job:
Caden Lane is looking for a detail-oriented, conversion-obsessed Digital Merchandiser to own the digital shopping experience across our brand. If you're the kind of person who notices a broken filter before your coffee hits the desk, lives for launch day adrenaline, and knows a high-converting PDP when you see one, you might be our person! This role is equal parts strategy and execution, creativity and analytics. You’ll partner across teams to build a seamless, story-driven, and sales-optimized product experience that connects with our customers and drives serious revenue.
What You’ll Do:
Product Merchandising & Strategy
• Own the end-to-end merchandising strategy across website and mobile app - from product setup and categorization to launch execution, digital storytelling, and post-launch optimization.
• Manage the merchandising calendar aligned to product drops, seasonal themes, and brand campaigns.
• Partner with design, marketing, creative, and planning teams to make sure the right product is in the right place at the right time, with the right message.
• Lead site and app readiness for all launches, including QA of product details, sequencing, tagging, swatches, filters, and PDPs.
• Optimize site navigation, taxonomy, and collection strategy to support both product discovery and conversion.
Data & Performance Optimization
• Develop KPIs and dashboards to track merchandising performance; report on topline trends and granular insights.
• Analyze product performance by landing page, SKU, size, color, and style to support inventory, pricing, and promotional decisions.
• Run A/B tests and conversion experiments to evaluate page layout, product arrangement, messaging, and CTA placements.
• Monitor heatmaps, click paths, session recordings, and funnel data to identify friction points and implement data-backed optimizations.
• Own site search and filtering logic to drive discoverability and ease of shopping.
Conversion Rate & AOV Tactics
• Implement personalized merchandising strategies to serve up the most relevant products by customer segment.
• Optimize product recommendations, cross-sells, and in-cart upsells to boost AOV and drive engagement.
• Support special drops, influencer collabs, and limited-time collections with high-impact merchandising that builds urgency and FOMO.
What You’ll Bring:
• 3-5 years of eCommerce merchandising experience in a high-growth DTC brand—baby/kids, apparel, or lifestyle categories a plus.
• Proven track record managing product launches, PDP optimization, and merchandising calendars at scale.
• Shopify Plus expert - comfortable in the backend, including product setup, metafields, tagging automation, and collection logic.
• Sharp understanding of site analytics and tools like GA4, Hotjar, and Power BI/Looker.
• Fluent in Excel/Google Sheets - especially for merchandising analysis, trend tracking, and forecasting.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally and juggling a fast-paced, ever-evolving roadmap.
• Passion for product and a deep understanding of how to tell a story through merchandising.
• A highly organized self-starter with obsessive attention to detail
Bonus Points For:
• Experience in high-SKU environments with fast product turnover.
• Strong intuition for baby/kids or trend-driven shopping behaviors.
• Familiarity with SEO, alt text, tagging systems, and visual merchandising best practices.
• Experience with CRO tools and personalization engines.
What We’ll Bring:
We offer our employees more than just competitive compensation!
Benefits:
• Competitive salary with opportunities for performance-based incentives.
• Flexible remote work (with preferred availability for Austin shoots).
• Dynamic, collaborative founder-led company culture with a focus on innovation and creativity.
• Opportunity for career growth and professional development in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Health Insurance - 75% Paid by Employer
• Dental Insurance
• Vision Insurance
• Employee Discount - 60% off retail
• Up to 3 weeks of PTO
• Paid Holidays
