Role description
We are seeking an onsite Digital Platform Manager. The Digital Platform Manager will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of mobile app and website to deliver exceptional customer experience, drive revenue growth, and support our membersβ evolving needs. This role will oversee end to end digital operations β from ensuring high performing, fully functional platforms with robust content and imagery to implementing monetization strategies and acting on customer and member feedback. The ideal candidate combines technical fluency, marketing expertise, and strong project management skills in the grocery retail environment.
Job Description:
Platform Management & Optimization
β’ Lead day-to-day management of the mobile app and website, ensuring uptime, functionality, and exceptional user experience.
β’ Oversee app downloads, user engagement, and adoption targets, using data to inform enhancements.
β’ Ensure all products have accurate, high-quality images and descriptions through vendor partners (e.g., Syndigo, Brandbank, Vendors)
β’ Partner with IT and vendors to execute the digital roadmap and annual planning.
β’ Conduct ongoing QA/UAT Testing to maintain quality and functionality.
Revenue & Monetization
β’ Implement and manage retail media and advertising revenue programs within the app and website.
β’ Develop strategies to drive monetization through promotions, digital coupons, push notifications, and CPG funded programs
β’ Track performance against income targets and provide actionable recommendations to maximize revenue opportunities
Customer & Member Engagement
β’ Monitor and respond to customer feedback from app store reviews, surveys, and member input.
β’ Partner with the Member Services and Marketing teams to ensure member needs are integrated into the product roadmap.
β’ Create and execute communication plans for new feature launches, ensuring member store teams are trained and equipped.
Analytics & Reporting
β’ Define, track and report on KPIs such as app downloads, engagement rates, advertising revenue, coupon redemption, and customer satisfaction.
β’ Present insights and recommendations to leadership and member committees
β’ Benchmark platform performance against grocery retail best practices
β’ Collaboration & Governance
β’ Coordinate across Marketing, Merchandising, IT & eCommerce teams to align priorities
β’ Serve as primary liaison with technology vendors for app and web initiatives
β’ Support annual planning, ensuring alignment with roadmap and broader digital strategy.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION
BS in Marketing, Business, or Communications (MBA is a plus)
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
β’ 5+ years in managing mobile app and/or website platforms in retail, grocery, or eCommerce
β’ Proven experience delivering measurable revenue growth from digital platforms
β’ Strong understanding of digital advertising and retail media monetization
β’ Hands-on experience with content management systems, product imagery, and UAT testing
β’ Familiarity with grocery retail tech stack, including POS integration, coupon systems, and loyalty programs.
