We’re seeking a strategic and analytical Director of Commercial Finance to help shape our business decisions and ensure sustainable, profitable growth. Role Summary: The Director of Commercial Finance will serve as a strategic finance partner to senior leadership, providing financial insights and guidance on pricing, marketing spend, customer acquisition, unit economics, margin optimization, and business performance. This role is key to connecting financial planning with real-time business execution in a fast-paced digital commerce environment. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Business Partnership β€’ Partner with heads of Marketing, Merchandising, Growth, and Operations to align financial goals with business strategy β€’ Drive ROI analysis for marketing campaigns, promotions, and customer acquisition efforts (e.g., CAC, LTV) β€’ Support pricing strategy, discounting, and gross margin optimization across product categories Financial Planning & Analysis β€’ Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for revenue, COGS, opex, and contribution margin β€’ Monitor daily/weekly sales performance and provide insights to optimize conversion, basket size, and retention β€’ Develop dashboards and KPIs to track performance across channels (e.g., DTC, marketplaces, wholesale) Revenue & Margin Optimization β€’ Analyze product and channel-level profitability, and identify levers to improve contribution margin β€’ Evaluate cost structure across fulfillment, returns, shipping, and customer service β€’ Support product launch planning and post-mortem analysis on financial impact Reporting & Decision Support β€’ Own monthly business reviews and variance analysis for commercial teams β€’ Provide scenario modeling and strategic financial insights to support growth initiatives β€’ Collaborate with Data, BI, and Operations to build integrated financial and operational models Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CFA a plus) β€’ 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or strategic finance roles β€’ Prior experience in eCommerce, retail, CPG, or DTC brands required β€’ Strong understanding of digital marketing economics (CAC, LTV, ROAS), margin structure, and eCommerce P&L β€’ Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI); experience with ERP and planning tools (e.g., NetSuite, Anaplan, Adaptive) β€’ Excellent communication and business partnering skills β€” able to work cross-functionally and influence non-finance stakeholder
