Role description
• This is a fully onsite position in Mahwah, NJ. NO EXCEPTIONS About the Role We’re seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Creative Brief Manager to join our Creative team, embedded within the Marketing department. This role is pivotal in shaping how our products are represented across e-commerce platforms and retail packaging. You’ll be the bridge between product development, culinary, sales, and creative—gathering insights and transforming them into compelling, actionable briefs that guide copywriters and designers. This is not a hands-on creative role, but a brand strategist position that sets the direction for storytelling, messaging, and visual execution. You’ll define the unique selling propositions (USPs) of each product—whether it’s a mini oven or a blender—and ensure they’re positioned effectively in the digital marketplace. Key Responsibilities • Develop strategic, insight-driven creative briefs for e-commerce product pages, enhanced content, and packaging. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, culinary, sales) to gather product details and consumer insights. • Sit down with leadership, including the CEO, to align on product priorities and messaging direction. • Translate technical specs and market data into clear messaging priorities and visual direction. • Define target audience, positioning, emotional hooks, competitive landscape, and key selling points. • Use AI tools to support ideation and concept development. • Ensure briefs are tailored to the needs of creative teams and drive consistent, high-quality output. • Provide tone, style, and visual guidance to maintain brand alignment. • Refine and scale briefing processes and templates. • Prioritize e-commerce content and digital value creation. Requirements • 3–5 years of experience in brand marketing, creative strategy, content strategy, or creative operations. • Proven experience developing creative briefs and managing cross-functional workflows. • Strong writing, communication, and storytelling skills. • Deep understanding of e-commerce content and consumer packaging, ideally in retail or direct-to-consumer environments. • Experience working with creative teams (design, copy, photography). • Strong organizational and project management skills. • Background in consumer goods, retail, or CPG is a plus. • Data-driven mindset with the ability to turn insights into strategic direction. Ideal Candidate Profile • A creative strategist who thrives on turning product features into compelling stories. • Comfortable working across departments and synthesizing diverse inputs into a unified brief. • Passionate about digital commerce and understands how to bring product value to life online. • Able to identify and highlight what makes each product unique and how best to represent it in the marketplace.
