Role description
Key Responsibilities:
Site Optimization & CX
• Proactively monitor the site daily for merchandising effectiveness, content freshness, and functional performance
• Leverage heat maps, scroll maps, and session recordings (e.g., Hotjar, FullStory) to identify user behavior patterns and friction points
• Analyze on-site funnels, bounce/drop-off rates, and conversion pathways to identify optimization opportunities
• Partner with CRO and design teams (or lead tests yourself) to develop and run A/B or multivariate tests
Digital Merchandising
• Own the PDP and PLP experience: ensure best-selling, highest-margin, or priority SKUs are front-and-center
• Actively update collections, product sort orders, banners, and homepage sections based on sales velocity and seasonal shifts
• Collaborate with inventory or planning to make sure low-stock items aren’t promoted or buried SKUs aren’t left stagnant
• Review how products are being grouped and presented across the site and refine for performance and story
Data-Driven Decision Making
• Create and maintain dashboards/reports for:
• Top viewed vs top-selling SKUs
• Click-through heat zones across key pages
• Merchandising efficacy per page type
• Revenue lift tied to on-site changes
• Drive weekly/monthly reporting on performance insights and actionable next steps for the site
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Collaborate with growth/retention teams to align landing pages and product placements with paid and email campaigns
• Communicate clearly with design/dev teams to update site features, fix bugs, or implement new tools
• Provide feedback to product and brand teams based on what customers are clicking on, hesitating on, or ignoring
Site Production & Operational Execution
• Prepare and upload product listings, including images, swatches, tags, and accurate product data
• Coordinate with creative and merchandising teams to ensure assets are delivered on time and meet requirements
• Own the QA process for product launches and promotional updates to ensure clean and error-free execution
• Set up and manage promotional pricing, bundles, coupon codes, and discounts
• Maintain backend product catalog integrity—ensuring pricing, inventory, categorization, and SKU structure are accurate
• Execute daily site sweeps to identify and fix content, layout, or functionality issues before they impact the customer
• Work closely with customer service and inventory planning to make sure site availability reflects actual stock levels
• Stay up to date on Shopify admin tools and operational best practices to streamline workflows and improve execution quality
