About The Job
The eCommerce Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive online sales and growth. This role encompasses overseeing daily operations, managing product lifecycle and online catalogs, optimizing website performance and customer experience, and leading cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will drive sales and revenue growth while fostering a data-driven culture. This position reports directly to the Director of Technology. This is an on-site position in Park City, Utah.
Responsibilities
β’ Strategic eCommerce Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive eCommerce strategies aligned with overall business objectives, leveraging ongoing market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities. Provide regular, insightful performance reports and data-driven recommendations to the higher-level management regarding strategic initiatives and process improvements.
β’ Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of daily eCommerce operations, including managing product listings, pricing strategies, and promotional activities across various online platforms. Drive efficiency and optimize daily workloads through data analysis, while identifying and implementing continuous process improvements. This also involves overseeing special projects (e.g., programs to speed up the listing process).
β’ Team & Performance Oversight: Manage the eCommerce team's schedule and ensure adherence to scheduled work times. Conduct regular performance reviews and foster a high-performing environment. Systematically track issues and conduct root cause analysis stemming from eBay and web ordering, particularly as they relate to listing accuracy and efficiency.
β’ Website & Customer Experience Optimization: Continuously optimize website performance, user experience, and conversion rates to maximize online engagement and sales. Implement SEO best practices to enhance website visibility. Provide exceptional customer support by promptly addressing inquiries and efficiently resolving issues.
β’ Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, sales, and other relevant departments, to achieve overarching business goals. Work closely with the CEO on critical tasks and strategic initiatives for the eCommerce team.
Qualifications
β’ Experience & Platform Expertise: Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive, hands-on experience managing and optimizing eCommerce platforms, with a strong preference for expertise in Magento and eBay.
β’ Strategic Growth Driver: Proven track record of successfully driving eCommerce growth through strategic management, sophisticated digital marketing acumen, and customer-centric initiatives.
β’ Data-Driven Decision Maker: Highly proficient in analyzing, interpreting, and leveraging eCommerce metrics and KPIs to inform strategic decisions, optimize performance, and achieve business objectives.
β’ Operational Excellence: Exceptional organizational and project management abilities, demonstrated by successful execution of complex eCommerce initiatives in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
β’ Product Catalog Mastery: Comprehensive understanding of complex product catalogs, including their structure, optimization for online sales, and proven ability to enhance customer experience through effective catalog management.
Education / Certifications
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a relevant discipline is required, or a compelling combination of education and professional experience that provides equivalent foundational expertise.
β’ Extensive leadership and management experience, specifically within the e-commerce sector, is essential.
β’ A strong command of data analytics, with a clear track record of utilizing insights to strategically inform decisions and foster ongoing departmental enhancements within eCommerce operations
