Hoffmann Group USA is looking for an eCommerce Merchandising Specialist. The eCommerce Merchandising Specialist is responsible for optimizing the user experience, enhancing product data, and improving merchandising strategies to drive higher traffic engagement, increase conversion rates, and grow online sales across Hoffmann Group USA's eCommerce platform. This role focuses heavily on customer experience, digital merchandising, and data-driven optimization. The eCommerce Merchandising Specialist leverages search data, customer behavior analytics, and product performance insights to curate and maintain an engaging, frictionless shopping experience. Core duties include improving product taxonomy, enriching product listings, streamlining category navigation, and fine-tuning site search and filtering functions in addition to supporting A/B testing initiatives, on-site messaging strategies, and seasonal merchandising and promotional plans. The ideal candidate combines a deep understanding of ecommerce UX and digital merchandising with strong technical skills, an eye for detail, and a proven ability to create experiences that convert. Duties and Responsibilities: Analyze customer behavior and sales funnel performance to identify conversion bottlenecks and UX pain points. Optimize site navigation, filtering, and category structure to align with user behavior and industry best practices. Oversee on-site merchandising, including homepage updates, promotional banners, category landing pages, and featured product placements. Manage product content enhancements, including title structure, bullet points, long-form descriptions, tags, and SEO-friendly copy. Coordinate with the product management and warehouse teams to ensure accurate, enriched, and up-to-date product data across the site. Implement and manage site search optimization and merchandising rules using tools such as Fast Simon. Monitor and analyze key KPIs such as bounce rate, conversion rate, average order value, and product page engagement. Develop and execute seasonal and promotional merchandising strategies aligned with marketing campaigns and vendor initiatives. Collaborate with marketing team to execute A/B tests on CTAs, layout, product recommendations, and page structure. Support the creation of new product bundles, landing pages, and curated collections to drive discovery and increase basket size. Work closely with customer service and sales teams to incorporate customer feedback into site improvements. Ensure the ecommerce site maintains a consistent visual style and messaging aligned with brand standards and customer expectations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in eCommerce, marketing, design, or a related field preferred. Strong understanding of ecommerce UX/UI principles and conversion optimization strategies. Experience with digital merchandising and onsite search tools. Ability to audit and improve product data at scale for clarity, completeness, and searchability. Knowledge of SEO best practices related to product and category pages. Familiarity with heat mapping, session recording, and A/B testing tools (e.g., Hotjar, Google Optimize, VWO). Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Strong working knowledge of ecommerce platforms (BigCommerce preferred). Experience developing merchandising calendars and supporting promotional campaigns. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, management, and sales teams. Excellent time management and project management skills. Strong written communication skills, particularly for product copy and UX language.
