To connect with us, visit www.gannett.com The eCommerce Specialist will be mainly responsible for overseeing Gannett Media’s online USA TODAY Network store. This includes functionality, user experience, product listings, pricing, promotions, and inventory data management. The person in this role will be expected to rapidly grow the expansion, reach and revenue of the online storefront through various growth strategies including analyzing consumer behavior, developing and executing online marketing tactics, and monitoring sales performance. They will also assist in improving the overall customer experience. The person in this role should have an interest in sports, books, travel and merchandise related to media brands. This role is remote and can be based anywhere in the US, except for Alaska and Hawaii. Responsibilities • Merchandise/Content Planning: Coordinating store merchandise against content plans, tentpoles, and major events (like sporting events) to consistently drive sales through article content across USA TODAY Network platforms. • Managing Online Sales Channels: Maintaining and optimizing online monetization of the Gannett Media store aka USA TODAY Network online store. • Digital Marketing: Developing and implementing strategies to increase product visibility, drive traffic, and improve conversion rates. • SEO: Optimizing website content and structure for search engines to improve organic search rankings. • Data Analysis: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing sales and monetization data, and identifying opportunities for growth. • Inventory Management: Managing stock levels and ensuring accurate product information online. • E-commerce Platform Management: Working with our e-commerce platform to manage products, process orders, and handle payments. • Collaboration: Working with the content commerce, content monetization, consumer and product teams to integrate the online store into all relevant content plans across the USA TODAY Network. • Customer Service: Respond to shopping customer needs related to store products. • Staying Current: Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in e-commerce. Skills & Experience • Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in consumer brand eCommerce merchandise industry, with special emphasis on sports, books and/or media publications. • Technical Skills: Experience with e-commerce platforms and tools such as Shopify, SEO, digital marketing tools, and data analysis software. • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, customers, and other stakeholders. • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to online sales and customer experience. • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
