Role description
The E-Commerce Business Specialist is responsible for managing the existing Business Platform on Ebay as well as potential expansion into alternative platforms such as Amazon and Walmart.com.
Essential Functions and Tasks:
β’ Analyze sales, pricing, and margin trends across platforms to optimize sales performance and advertising spend.
β’ Possess or quickly develop operational expertise on the Ebay platform to streamline listing management and pricing.
β’ Work closely with platform vendors and freight suppliers to manage costs and open new sales opportunities.
β’ Work with merchandising team on inventory strategy and demand planning specific to the e-commerce channel.
β’ Work across our network of distribution centers to fill orders and optimize freight expenses.
β’ Identify sales opportunities through competitive analysis, price modeling and experimentation, and market research.
β’ Manage and potentially grow the customer experience team to support increased sales volume, returns, adjustments, and product inquiries.
β’ Develop direct to consumer website to capture repeat buyer purchases off-platform.
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs Degree
β’ Four years experience in retail, E-commerce, consulting, or business strategy
β’ Experience in project management and working with Direct to Consumer or Wholesale E-Commerce accounts
β’ Able to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams
β’ Being comfortable with analyzing business performance and making recommendations based on sound analysis
β’ Previous proven track record driving results in account management with a knowledge of E-Commerce sales tactics, marketing plans, and key metrics
β’ Amazon Seller Central or Ebay Power Seller experience is a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
β’ Time Management: Position requires ability to work both independently and in an ambiguous environment while managing time appropriately
β’ Ownership and Urgency: Position requires quick and confident decision making
