Job Title: Engagement Lead - eCommerce/retail] Job ID: 1593242BR Position Type: Full-time/ onsite Location: Rochester NY Role/Responsibilities Seeking a seasoned Engagement Lead to manage the successful delivery of a high-impact eCommerce transformation project for a U.S.-based enterprise client. The role requires strong client engagement skills, project leadership, and an understanding of headless or composable commerce platforms such as CommerceTools etc, and integrations with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS. As the primary point of contact for the client, the Engagement Lead ensures alignment between business goals, technical execution, delivery milestones, and stakeholder expectations. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Serve as the strategic point of contact for the client across the entire engagement lifecycle (Discovery to Implementation & Rollout). β€’ Own and manage the project roadmap, deliverables, and engagement governance. β€’ Lead discovery workshops, requirements clarification, and solution alignment with business and technical stakeholders. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UX, Dev, QA, DevOps, Architects) to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. β€’ Monitor project KPIs, risk management, and issue resolution in coordination with PMO and client sponsors. β€’ Drive status reporting, steering committee updates, and change control processes. β€’ Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS) where relevant to data, payment, and customer privacy. β€’ Facilitate contractual compliance, SOW adherence, and coordinate with commercial/legal teams when needed. β€’ Support account growth, scope expansion, and relationship management beyond the initial engagement. Required Skills & Experience: β€’ 10+ years of IT project or program management experience, with at least 3–5 years in eCommerce or Digital Transformation programs. β€’ Hands-on experience leading engagements. eCommerce transformation experience will be advantage. β€’ Strong understanding of frontend technologies (React, Frontastic) and cloud-native backend platforms. β€’ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery, Jira, Confluence, and DevOps collaboration tools. β€’ Experience managing U.S.-based clients and distributed delivery teams across time zones. β€’ Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, contracts, and stakeholder communications.
