THE CULTURE Creative, Collaborative, Positive , Fun, yet face-paced, Belief in anything is possible THE OPPORTUNITY We are in search of a Freelance Senior Designer (20–30 hours per week) to join our Brand Marketing team. The ideal candidate will be an empowered self-starter with excellent time management skills, creating compelling, high-design digital and print communications for the brand. This role will focus on email communications design, banner design, and printed mailers and materials with the ability to translate brand storytelling seamlessly across channels. Luxury experience is a plus. The right candidate must bring high taste, strong design expertise, and an editorial eye for photography, typography, and cultural references—able to pull and discuss inspiration as a point of conversation. You will... • Design and execute digital communications including email design, digital banners, and campaign assets. • Create printed mailers and collateral that extend the brand into tactile, luxury expressions. • Translate brand storytelling across formats with a sharp understanding of typography, layout, and photography direction. • Collaborate cross-functionally with fellow designers, copywriters, and the Director of Brand & Creative to deliver cohesive campaigns. • Pull cultural, fashion, and design references to inspire and elevate creative conversations. • Work in Figma with speed, accuracy, and precision—executing projects from concept through delivery. • Read and interpret creative briefs, asking smart questions to clarify direction when needed. • Balance strategic thinking with flawless execution, ensuring all work is culturally relevant and on-brand. You are… • Highly collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally. • Plugged into culture—fashion, photography, art, and design trends—with a broader sense of where DTC fashion brands are going. • A storyteller who can connect brand voice to design. • Organized, adaptable, and able to work at pace with accuracy. • A self-starter who requires little handholding and can work independently. • Comfortable working Central hours to align with the broader team. You have… • 5+ years’ experience as a designer, ideally within fashion, luxury, or consumer brands. • Expertise in Figma (mandatory), with strong skills in typography, digital design, and print layout. • A portfolio that demonstrates refined taste, high-level design craft, and visual storytelling across digital and print. • Ability to concept and execute quickly, balancing creative vision with production needs. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Experience in luxury, fashion, or editorial design is a strong plus. • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other graphic design or web design software (Sketch, Adobe XD, etc) • 1-2 years experience with eCommerce platforms, Shopify preferred • 1-2 years experience with email marketing platforms, Klaviyo preferred • A strong, dynamic portfolio that showcases a broad range of print and web design knowledge, as well as an upscale aesthetic • Smart, creative problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Previous experience with eCommerce, especially in the fashion and luxury retail space • Design degree or similar • • • Digital portfolio is a must • • Here at Billy Reid we believe a diverse workplace fosters creativity, is critical to the success of our company, and benefits our communities.
