Business Development Manager ( CPG/FMCG, Personal Care, Retail Channels/Retail market) • LOCATION - Atlanta, GA based ( Hybrid, with occasional Travel) • TERRITORY/LOCATION - Across the US/North America • Direct Hire/Perm We have a NEW ROLE open for a proven Sales Leader to help us bring our NEW PRODUCTS and NEW BRANDS to the market, here in the US/North America! We're seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead retail expansion efforts for our newest brands in North America. Again, This is a new role on the team, designed to accelerate growth in emerging product categories beyond our core business, with this roles initial focus being selling into and through value retail stores and chains, with plans to expand into additional channels over time. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about building brands from the ground up. You'll be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies for new launches in categories such as hair care, hair color, and other global brands entering the U.S. market. The ideal candidate will bring the ability to perform the following in the listed areas of specialty: Sales Strategy & Execution • Build and implement sales strategies to drive growth in new categories across key retail channels, starting with Mass, Dollar, Drug, and eCommerce. • Identify white space opportunities and lead sell-in efforts with prospective retail partners. • Collaborate cross-functionally with brand, innovation, and shopper marketing teams to align commercial plans with launch goals. Retailer & Account Management • Manage end-to-end retailer setup for new categories: item forms, content upload, planogram submission, and promotional calendars. • Serve as the primary contact for buyer relationships in new and existing accounts tied to emerging categories. • Lead joint business planning and execution, ensuring internal readiness and external success • Exposure to Mass and Dollar retailers (e.g., Walmart, Target, Family Dollar, Dollar General). • Experience supporting new brand launches or bringing global brands to the U.S. market. • Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, TikTok Shop, or other eCommerce platforms. Analytics & Forecasting • Own forecasting, tracking, and reporting for new categories-partnering closely with supply chain and finance. • Analyze POS and shipment data to assess performance, identify opportunities, and adjust plans as needed. • Develop executive-level reporting to keep leadership informed on progress, risks, and wins. Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of retail sales experience, preferably in CPG, beauty, personal care, or household categories. • Proven experience in direct retail selling, managing retailer setup processes, and working across internal/external teams. • Demonstrated success in launching or scaling new products in retail environments. • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with sales forecasting, Excel, and syndicated data tools (e.g., Nielsen, IRI). • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills. • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
