Position: General Manager, Americas Location: Portland, OR, United States Scope: Full P&L responsibility for the United States, Central and South America Role Summary: RIGOL seeks an entrepreneurial, results-driven General Manager to lead our Americas business. This role owns the regional strategy, revenue and margin performance, and end-to-end operations, while partnering closely with global Sales &Marketing, R&D and corporate functions. The ideal leader combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, thrives in high-growth environments, and builds high-performance, customer-obsessed teams. Key Responsibilities Strategy and Growth • Define and execute a 3–5-year regional strategy aligned with corporate goals, grounded in market analysis, competitive intelligence, and technology trends across the T&M/ICT ecosystem. • Translate strategy into annual operating plans, budgets, and KPIs; drive forecast accuracy and disciplined performance management. • Segment the market (e.g., semiconductor, communications, automotive/EV, power electronics, education, aerospace/defense, manufacturing) and tailor go-to-market plays to expand share. Sales and Channel Leadership • Own revenue and gross margin; design and lead a multi-channel model (direct enterprise/key accounts, distribution/VARs, e-commerce/inside sales) to exceed targets. • Build a scalable key account program; negotiate complex enterprise deals; develop distributor programs, enablement, and joint business plans. • Partner with marketing to drive demand generation, digital funnel performance, and brand visibility; enforce CRM and pipeline rigor. Operational Excellence • Lead S&OP and end-to-end operations: supply chain, local inventory policy, order fulfillment, service and calibration, and customer support. • Ensure regional compliance (trade/export controls, quality, safety, financial controls) and continuously improve cost, cycle time, and customer experience (e.g., response and repair TAT, NPS). People and Culture • Recruit, develop, and retain a diverse, high-performing team; establish clear objectives, coaching, and succession plans. • Lead across time zones; resolve cross-regional issues; model values, ethics, and a performance-and-learning mindset. • Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and collaboration—building the business with an entrepreneurial spirit. External Engagement • Represent RIGOL with key customers, channel partners, universities, standards bodies, and industry forums; elevate the brand through thought leadership and public speaking. Qualifications • 10+ years of experience in test & measurement, electronics, or adjacent industrial technology; 5+ years in P&L/general management or senior commercial leadership with a strong growth track record. • Proven success scaling revenue via both direct enterprise sales and distribution channels; expert negotiator with strong executive presence. • Deep applications understanding across oscilloscopes, spectrum/RF, power, and compliance testing; adept at translating customer needs into product and GTM actions. • Strong financial and operational acumen: budgeting, pricing, margin management, working capital, S&OP, and data-driven decision making. • Experience operating across the United States and Latin America; Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus. • Comfortable collaborating with Asia-based HQ and manufacturing; cross-cultural fluency and familiarity with Asian business practices are advantageous. • Bachelor’s degree in business with strong technical aptitude, or in engineering with commercial/financial acumen; MBA is a plus.
