Role description
About Us
Sunfish is a fast-growing, venture-backed Series A health tech startup. Our mission is to make the parenthood journey easy and affordable to help everyone build the family of their dreams. Used by leading fertility clinics throughout the United States, we help patients navigate and afford treatments. Our company ingests unique patient biodata to support patients using AI/ML. Sunfish’s team is composed of individuals with backgrounds in fertility, health tech, insurtech, and fintech – all with a shared passion for bringing equity to family building. And we’ve done this before - our executive team has had 11 exits and 3 IPOs to date.
Role Overview
We’re hiring a Growth Marketing Manager to help scale Sunfish’s acquisition, lifecycle, and clinic partner marketing. Reporting to the Head of Growth, this is a hands-on, high-impact role that blends performance strategy, CRM execution, campaign management, and marketing analytics.
You’ll manage lifecycle programs, oversee multi-channel campaign planning and tracking, support clinic-facing initiatives, and help operationalize insights that drive growth. This role is ideal for a systems-oriented, data-fluent marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Campaign Execution & Acquisition
• Support strategy and day-to-day management of paid and organic campaigns (Meta, Google, email, SEO, referral)
• Coordinate campaign calendar, timelines, and assets across internal teams and external partners
• Own campaign tracking infrastructure—UTMs, attribution tagging, lead source hygiene
• Work with contractors and agencies on paid advertising, content, and PR
Lifecycle & CRM Management
• Create and optimize lifecycle marketing flows in Customer.io (e.g., onboarding, nurture, re-engagement)
• Partner with sales to create templated messaging and drip sequences for different buyer personas, set up long-term nurture programs based on intent
• Own segmentation strategy and identify personalization opportunities across channels
Analytics & Reporting
• Build / maintain weekly dashboards to track KPIs across acquisition, lifecycle, and sales (CAC, LTV, funnel performance, email metrics, lead performance)
• Design A/B testing frameworks for subject lines, CTAs, landing pages, and offers
• Translate insights from ad performance, quiz behavior, and site traffic into optimization actions
Messaging & Feedback Loops
• Surface insights from patient interactions, quiz funnels, and sales calls to refine messaging
• Support survey development, feedback collection, and A/B testing of language and positioning
• Collaborate with Product on messaging consistency across onboarding flows and the intake form
Clinic Partner Marketing
• Develop co-marketing toolkits (email templates, brochures, signage, FAQs) for clinic partners
• Manage execution of clinic-led campaigns promoting Sunfish to their patients
• Support in-clinic activations (book giveaways, educational events, flyers)
• Track and report on clinic campaign performance, including lead volume and downstream conversion
• Align clinic marketing efforts with our broader growth goals and campaign roadmap
Qualifications
• 4–6+ years of experience in full-stack or growth marketing, ideally in a startup, digital health, or DTC environment
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. MBA a plus
• Strong proficiency in CRM and automation tools (Customer.io, HubSpot), analytics tools (Looker, GA4, Excel/Sheets), and ad platforms (Meta, Google)
• Hands-on experience with attribution modeling, lifecycle campaign building, and lead gen reporting
• Detail-oriented with excellent writing and communication skills
• Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and rolling up your sleeves to execute
Nice to Have:
• Prior experience with fertility, healthcare, or fintech marketing
• Experience at an early stage venture-backed company (seed - B), especially in digital health
