Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated, tech-savvy Internet Sales Manager to lead and grow our online sales department. This individual will be responsible for managing all internet leads, overseeing the digital sales process, optimizing lead response times, and converting online traffic into showroom appointments and vehicle sales. The ideal candidate has automotive experience, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in online sales or BDC operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and respond promptly to all internet leads from various platforms (OEM, dealer website, third-party sites).
Ensure all leads are properly logged, followed up on, and tracked using the CRM system.
Set and maintain daily contact goals for lead follow-up via phone, email, text, and video.
Train and supervise internet sales team or BDC reps if applicable.
Monitor response times and follow-up quality to ensure consistent customer experience.
Work closely with the sales team and desk managers to ensure seamless transitions from online to in-store.
Coordinate with marketing and website vendors to optimize online vehicle listings and dealership visibility.
Analyze lead source performance, appointment show rates, and closing ratios; recommend process improvements.
Handle customer inquiries regarding availability, pricing, trade-ins, financing, and vehicle features.
Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay current on manufacturer programs and digital tools.
Assist with online reputation management by monitoring and responding to reviews when needed.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in automotive internet sales or BDC management preferred.
Strong understanding of CRM systems (e.g., VinSolutions, DealerSocket, Elead) and lead management best practices.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs.
Ability to lead a team and collaborate with other departments effectively.
