Who You Are:
The Manager, Global Paid Social Media & Innovation is a proactive, highly motivated individual with experience in and a passion for marketing, social media, creative strategy and retail innovation. The primary purpose of this position is to manage paid social media strategy and implementation globally, support international social media strategy on local platforms in alignment with each market’s business priorities, lead the day-to-day management of Michael Kors’ digital media agency and support the brand’s exploration of innovative technologies & retail integrations, both within and outside of the social media space (AI, AR, VR). This individual will lead partnerships - both internal and external - on behalf of the social media team and ensure an overarching integrated strategy is in place to drive success.
What You’ll Do:
• Partner with international counterparts to coordinate local social media efforts, managing creative briefs, processes, timelines and requirements for seasonal campaigns and special events
• Manage the day-to-day implementation of all paid social media campaigns, partnering with digital media agency on paid media plans (targeting, flight dates, success KPIs, etc.)
• Develop annual paid media plans with international markets and maintain monthly budgets on all social platforms
• Partner w/ the Michael Kors Consumer Marketing teams to design and implement best-in-class full funnel strategies
• Lead post-campaign analysis, reviewing agency reports, digesting learnings and informing future creative & campaign-level strategies
• Distribute and review above findings with international markets (EU, JP, KR, BR, ME, CN, LATAM) & internal counterparts to refine paid social media strategy based on performance, leading platform optimizations, ad types and creative formats
• Drive innovation for Michael Kors by supporting collaborations with internal teams and external partners; keep a pulse on emerging platforms & media, apps, games, technologies and trends in order to identify opportunities for innovation (AI, virtual AI concierge, AR try-ons, social commerce etc.)
• Arm creative teams with best practices, cultural and customer landscape, and industry competitive to inform best-in-class production for paid social media (videos, stills, text overlays, voice overs etc.) as validated through performance & insights/learnings
• Partner with internal teams and digital media agency to evolve brand measurement to include sentiment analysis and long-term favorability in addition to traditional brand KPIs
• Partner with internal influencer teams on impactful amplification plans across social channels globally, supporting paid reporting and performance metrics and sharing out results with key stakeholders
• Work closely with internal teams and external partners to develop and execute social initiatives across multiple channels – ecommerce, email, SMS etc.
• Provide social media support for licensed categories across paid and innovation-driven campaigns (social lenses, filters, emerging technology)
You’ll Need to Have:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in marketing, business, or communications
• 5+ years experience in paid social media, at a fashion/retail brand or agency, preferred but not required
• Prior experience at a social media agency OR managing a social media agency and exposure to e-commerce and digital marketing a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, X, Pinterest, Instagram, LINE, Weibo, WeChat, etc.)
• Ability to think creatively and problem-solve while juggling multiple projects
• Ability to analyze, evaluate and effectively communicate social media performance
