Reports to: Owner/General Manager
Position Title: Manager of Sales and Customer Experience
Position Summary: We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Manager of Sales & Fulfillment to oversee all aspects of sales and customer relationships to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and driving growth across multiple departments and customers. This executive level role is pivotal to the continued success and growth of our business, managing all current accounts and developing new accounts, leading internal teams, and coordinating logistics and production. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while delivering an outstanding customer experience. This unique business requires a candidate willing to immerse themselves in our industry and operation to learn the intricacies of our products, customers, and processes.
Responsibilities:
• Key Account Management
o Serve as the primary contact for our largest key accounts, ensuring exceptional service and long-term relationship growth.
o Manage pricing, contracts, and key account negotiations
o Collaborate with all sales channels to align strategies to grow sales revenue.
o Develop and manage sales strategies across all channels to grow sales revenue.
• Team Leadership & Coordination
o Oversee the on-site customer service team, ensuring timely and accurate order processing, issue resolution and customer engagement.
o Coordinate with the Shipping Department, and production departments to ensure operational efficiency and quality.
• Logistics
o Negotiate and manage carrier contracts to ensure competitive shipping rates and reliable delivery performance.
• Trade Shows & Events
o Plan and attend between 15-18 trade shows per year.
o Coordinate all logistics of trade shows
o Represent Timberline professionally, building brand awareness and maintaining key customer relationships.
• E-Commerce & Marketing
o Collaborate to create cohesive marketing strategies to build brand awareness and drive sales.
o Oversee aspects of our Shopify e-commerce platform
o Collaborate with website updates, product listings and online sales strategy
Minimum Qualifications:
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft office suite, particularly Excel.
• Proven experience in relationship management, operations or similar leadership role.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to travel for trade shows and work some weekends as required
• Willingness to immerse fully in the business to learn it’s unique processes
• 5 years of continued employment at most recent employer
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in the exotic pet industry, particularly the live food segment.
• Shopify or other ecommerce experience.
• Marketing and Social Media experience
• Trade show coordination experience
