Role description
Job Summary:
As the Email, SMS and E-commerce Marketing Specialist, you will lead the strategy, creation, testing, and analysis of email and SMS marketing campaigns to drive e-commerce engagement, conversion, and retention. This role is essential to Walsworth’s evolving digital marketing approach and will focus on enhancing our email and SMS performance using data-driven tactics and creative campaign execution. This role is based out of our Walsworth – Overland Park, Kansas, office. This a salaried, exempt position. The schedule is Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM.
Essential Functions:
• Develop and manage end-to-end email and SMS campaigns from concept to execution to reporting for both B2C and B2B audiences.
• Create and maintain campaign calendars aligned with promotions, product launches, and business objectives.
• Design and manage A/B testing for subject lines, content, creative, and offer structures across email and SMS.
• Build automated lifecycle flows (welcome, abandon cart, re-engagement, etc.) and optimize for performance.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including open rates, click-through rates, and conversions, using campaign insights to drive optimization.
• Recommend and implement best practices for email and SMS marketing in compliance with industry regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.).
• Collaborate closely with marketing team to align messaging and visuals to drive cross-channel campaign success.
• Bring forward proactive strategies for continuous improvement and customer engagement, leveraging data and campaign insights.
• Manage campaign workflows and deadlines using project management tools (Monday.com experience a plus).
• Support strategic planning efforts including budgeting, content calendars, and yearly campaign roadmaps.
• Write and edit marketing copy as needed, with knowledge of AP Style considered a plus.
• Contribute to team brainstorming sessions and follow through on initiatives from concept to execution.
• Assist with marketing efforts across other channels and verticals, including potential commercial business support.
• Participate in internal and external presentations, including campaign performance reviews.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in e-commerce and related email marketing; SMS marketing experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Brevo and Pardot (or comparable platforms).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
• Demonstrated success in campaign strategy, list segmentation, and A/B testing.
• Understanding of email/SMS marketing laws and compliance standards.
• Highly collaborative, curious, creative, and proactive with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Agency experience or background in managing diverse accounts and strategies is a plus.
• Experience with Monday.com or other project management tools is a plus.
• Strong data and analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data and turn insights into action.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Familiarity with HTML and email design best practices is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred – or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum Requirements:
• U.S. work authorization is required. Walsworth does not offer employment sponsorship.
