optimizing in-season performance with a strong focus on data, trend insights, and cross functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is passionate about product, combines creative
intuition with commercial acumen, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Merchandising Strategy & Line Planning
• Lead the development and execution of seasonal merchandise strategies across DTC and
Wholesale, ensuring alignment with brand vision and financial goals.
• Build and manage seasonal line plans by analyzing historical data, identifying
opportunities, and partnering closely with Design, Product Development, and Planning.
• Maintain and own the seasonal style master; ensure accurate, up-to-date product
information throughout the go-to-market calendar.
• Develop and present seasonal line review decks and product stories to internal
stakeholders and external partners, highlighting key styles and brand messaging.
• Drive the global pricing strategy in collaboration with Planning, ensuring margin goals
and market positioning are met.
• Recommend and execute chase buys, recuts, exclusives, and capsule collections based
on performance and market demand.
In-Season Business Management
• Monitor weekly selling across all channels to identify sales trends, opportunities, and
liabilities. Present recaps and drive strategic actions based on findings.
• Own product lifecycle management from buy through markdown, including allocation,
inventory optimization and exit strategy.
• Collaborate with Retail and E-commerce teams to ensure product is distributed and
merchandised effectively by location/channel.
• Partner with Planning on replenishment strategies and support in managing inventory
transfers, RTVs, and markdown proposals.
Cross-Functional Communication & Sales Enablement
• Act as a key liaison between sales feedback and future product decisions, delivering
insights that inform design and merchandising direction.
• Support the creation of seasonal sales tools and go-to-market decks, in partnership with
Sales and Marketing.
• Deliver product knowledge and merchandising training to internal teams and retail staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 4+ years' experience in Merchandising, Buying, or Planning within apparel, accessories,
or a consumer retail environment.
• Proven track record of delivering results through data-driven merchandising strategies.
• Highly proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.) and comfortable working with
merchandising and planning tools (e.g., PLM, ERP).
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver
against tight deadlines.
• Strong communicator and presenter, capable of influencing cross-functional teams.
• Team player with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Downtown Los Angeles.
