Position Title: National Account Manager- Walmart (US & Canada)
Reports to: Vice President Sales
Position Summary
The National Account Manager – Walmart is responsible for leading and executing the Walmart business strategy, driving sales growth, and strengthening the company’s position as a trusted partner within Walmart’s ecosystem. This role requires deep customer knowledge, strong analytical ability, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver category growth, optimize profitability, and ensure flawless execution at retail.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Account Management
• Own the Walmart account relationship, serving as the primary contact for all business activities.
• Develop and execute annual joint business plans aligned with company objectives and Walmart’s strategic initiatives.
• Build strong partnerships with Walmart merchants, replenishment, and supply chain teams.
• Sales & Business Growth
• Deliver sales, revenue, and profitability targets for Walmart brick-and-mortar and online channels.
• Identify opportunities to grow category share and drive incremental distribution.
• Lead line reviews, new item presentations, and promotional planning.
• E-Commerce & Omni-Channel Execution
• Partner with Walmart.com teams to optimize digital content, search, and merchandising.
• Align brick-and-mortar strategies with online activations to create a seamless omnichannel experience.
• Data & Analytics
• Leverage data (Retail Link, Luminate, Nielsen/IRI, etc.) to drive insights, track performance, and recommend strategies.
• Monitor POS trends, supply chain metrics, and promotional ROI to optimize plans.
• Cross-Functional Leadership
• Collaborate with marketing, finance, operations, and supply chain to deliver flawless execution.
• Provide demand forecasts and ensure supply continuity to meet Walmart’s expectations.
• Partner with internal leadership on pricing, trade spend, and promotional investments.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in key account management, with at least 2–3 years managing Walmart directly.
• Strong knowledge of Walmart systems (Retail Link, Luminate, Supplier Center, etc.).
• Proven success in developing joint business plans and delivering revenue/profit targets.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Salary: The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 to $140,000, which reflects what Thermos reasonably expects to pay for this role. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
