Role description
Overview
Intuit’s Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) is dedicated to delivering a portfolio of solutions that improve the small businesses’ success in the U.S. by addressing their top needs, ranging from invoicing to payroll, accounting, payments and lending. Within the QuickBooks team, the Money team helps small businesses get paid, manage bills, and access financing to run their business, resulting in industry-leading cash flow benefits. These solutions help us address the statistic that 50% of small businesses go out of business within 5 years because they run into cash flow issues.
The QuickBooks U.S. Marketing team is seeking a Principal Product Marketing Leader to support this mission and drive growth in our Online Payments business. This position requires strong strategic problem solving and communication skills, the ability to influence and develop productive partnerships at all levels of the organization, and a bias for action to create customer benefit and drive measurable business results. This is a role with broad exposure to many senior leaders.
You’ll be challenged to think boldly, move fast, and have a big impact on our customers’ lives, their livelihoods, and the QuickBooks brand trajectory. The role is currently an individual contributor role reporting to the PMM Leader on QB Payments.
What you'll bring
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success and significant experience in complex, fast-paced environments. This individual is a self-starter who can work in a rapidly changing industry and can scale in a high growth environment.
• 10+ years of experience in product marketing, strategy & business operations, management consulting, or strategic roles within high-growth environments.
• Experience with Payments / Merchant Services experience is strongly desired.
• Leadership: Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams, build trust, and drive outcomes in a matrixed organization.
• Strategic thinking: Strong capability to translate strategic plans into actionable tasks, ensuring project completion and alignment with business goals
• Problem Solving: Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including data-driven decision making
• Technical Acumen: Understanding of payment systems and money movement is a plus
• Communication: Excellent presentation and storytelling abilities, comfortable with business reviews with executives and teams
• Tableau/Qlik dashboard skills (i.e., ability to self-serve on data needs for ad hoc analyses) are a plus
• Excellent verbal, written/presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• BA/BS required, MBA preferred. Or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with small- and mid-sized business a plus
How you will lead
• Drive growth of the payments business in partnership with key cross functional teams such as Sales, Product, Risk, Pricing, and Finance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify net new monetization and pricing strategies to scale revenue growth
• Partner with the Business Development team to identify co-innovation opportunities with third parties that will unlock net new distribution channels
• Uncover opportunities: Dive deep into customer and product experiences to identify GTM motions to accelerate growth for the QB Payments business
• Stakeholder communication: Serve as the conduit between the Payments business and other GBSG & Intuit businesses, ensuring alignment on priorities, progress, outcomes, and challenges.
• Develop research and testing plans and actively analyze business data from multiple sources to generate insights, make informed decisions, and turn these insights into compelling business cases and awesome end-to-end customer experiences.
• Leverage storytelling, customer insights, data and business acumen to lead initiatives and influence the roadmap at any phase of the product life cycle (from idea to maturity) and execute an impactful GTM plan that prioritizes business results with product and channel partners.
• Contribute to 3-year strategic planning and make decisions that benefit the customer and the entire Intuit portfolio, not just the offering.
