We are currently looking for a Product Design Director to add to our dynamic team. About The Role: As Product Design Director, you’ll lead the mission to enhance the end-to-end customer experience and shape the future of online shopping. You’ll oversee our design organization across both product and brand, ensuring RetailMeNot delivers high-quality, cohesive, and user-centric experiences across every touchpoint—web, app, extension, and beyond. You’ll manage a talented team of designers, working closely with partners in product, engineering, marketing, and research to drive innovation and consistency across the entire user journey. With a bias toward action, you’ll foster a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and data-informed delivery—helping millions of people save money and get rewarded when they shop online. What You’ll Do • Define the design strategy and lead execution across platforms, ensuring work aligns with business goals and user needs • Create compelling experiences across web, app, extension and social platforms, ensuring consistency and delight in every interaction • Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary design team across product and brand • Partner with cross-functional leaders to shape user-centric solutions and prioritize high-impact opportunities • Translate insights, business goals, and brand principles into design decisions that drive measurable outcomes • Guide design work that is elegant, intuitive, and solves complex problems across discovery, live shopping, and post-purchase moments. • Design experiences to increase engagement, influence user behavior, and support habit-forming product loops that drive retention • Ensure design execution ladders up to both brand and product strategy while enabling innovation across teams, expressing a coherent story and deepening customer loyalty • Advocate for inclusive, accessible, and data-informed design practices across teams • Champion and evolve our design system to improve velocity and quality at scale Who You Are: • 8–10+ years of design experience, with at least 3+ years managing and mentoring designers • Deep expertise across both product and visual design disciplines • Proven success leading design across multiple platforms (web, app, social, etc.) • Strong systems thinker with operational excellence—you scale process without sacrificing creativity • Strong communicator and cross-functional leader, able to influence up, down, and across teams • Skilled at connecting design decisions to user needs, product goals, and business metrics • Experience fostering design culture, rituals, feedback practices and high standards for craft and collaboration • Proficient in Figma, prototyping tools, and user research/testing platforms • A champion for user-centricity, accessibility, and data-informed decision-making • Comfortable receiving and giving feedback; able to adapt and evolve quickly Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in e-commerce or savings/rewards platforms • Background in working with customer lifecycle, personalization, or CRM We Offer Great Benefits: • Company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance (including domestic partner coverage) + pet insurance • Flexible Vacation / Paid Time Off • Charitable Giving Programs that include Paid Time off to volunteer and donation match • Family Planning Programs like MAVEN Fertility Concierge • Pregnancy and Paid Parental Leave (up to 16 weeks) • 401K savings plan with employer match • Employee stock purchase program (ESPP) • Wellness Programs: Gym reimbursement, Lose It! and Calm subscriptions • Hybrid, Remote and Flexible work arrangements • Diverse and inclusive employee resource groups where you can collaborate with teams across the company while making an impact in the areas that most excite you! The US base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000 and $160,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
