Product Manager, eCommerce Fulfillment
Contract Position, Hybrid (1 day a week in Chicago)
The Product Manager will be a core member of the eCommerce Product team, serving as the dedicated Product Manager for the handheld shopping application on Android-based devices and its complementary desktop Manager Web App, with a strong emphasis on the web application's capabilities. Working closely with the Sr. Product Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting the team's mission to "build, support, and evolve the foundational capabilities.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the development of a product vision, then drive a process to bring that vision to fruition.
• Diligently execute on planning and delivery efforts as demonstrated in the sprint ceremony artifacts, team velocity, etc.
• Support the end-to-end execution of product development and enhancement initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery for the fulfillment applications.
• Owns SDLC requirements 360 – gathering, definition, clarifications, ensuring all aspects meet product and operational needs.
• Achieving key business metrics by enhancing the associate experience.
• Develop metrics to measure the success of program features, analyze results, and partner across the organization to develop action plans and enhancement recommendations for web and mobile applications
• Collaborate effectively with others to make progress and build strong relationships. Foster strong collaboration across all functional teams, including store operations, fulfillment associates, IT (development, infrastructure), and relevant vendors, to ensure successful product development and adoption, particularly for the web app.
• Partner with IT on development, testing & implementation plans, as well as internal communications & deployment plans. for the Spectrum handheld app and Manager Web App.
• Collaborate with internal business partners to refine requirements and define enhancements, creating buy-in from other teams as necessary.
• Demonstrate growth in skillset and progressive competence to take on more responsibilities, to be able to step into Product Manager roles as opportunities arise.
• Must organize with independence, develop a strong understanding of our associates/customers, manage multiple concurrent projects, and identify and lead solutions that recognize significant business value. This includes managing aspects of the Spectrum app and Manager Web App product lifecycle.
• Inspire and motivate the development teams to deliver innovative and exciting solutions with an appropriate sense of urgency.
• Blend strong business acumen, technical problem solving and agile execution in the context of mobile and web-based fulfillment applications.
• Contribute to the prioritization of eCommerce features and understand the art of sequencing their delivery with an agile framework.
• Proactively identify issues and work with internal partners to understand options and execute solutions related to the Spectrum app and Manager Web App.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years direct experience in a digital environment in a relevant capacity.
• 5+ years in product management.
• Experience with managing teams developing on any of the following technologies: JSON-based APIs, Java, .NET, AngularJS, native iOS or Android.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and managing iteration-level deliverables.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
Preferred Qualifications:
• eCommerce, Retail experience.
• Track record of successfully owning requirements for delivery of small-mid scale, cross-functional software development projects.
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
