Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and manufacturing world, is seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead initiatives across new product development and procurement. This unique dual-role blends strategic project oversight with hands-on purchasing responsibilities, supporting both innovation and supply continuity across standard and custom product lines. You will work cross-functionally with Operations, Production, and Purchasing to bring new products to market while ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement of materials. Must be detail oriented and self-motivated to get all projects completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. New Product Development (NPD) – Project Management Focus
• Lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle, keeping all participants on track and well- informed.
• Once the prototype has been provided, you will collaborate with Operations, Marketing and our Marketplace Manager to define product specifications, timelines, and go-to-market strategies.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, ensuring on-time delivery of milestones.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs), budgets, and resource allocation.
• Facilitate internal and external stakeholder communication for project transparency and accountability.
1. Procurement & Special Products – Sourcing & Purchasing Focus
Support purchasing operations for core and custom product lines with an emphasis on quality, cost, and timeliness.
• Manage the procurement of standard and specialty product components to meet production demands.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, especially for custom or low-volume SKUs
• Partner with Operations teams to identify sourcing options for unique or new-product materials.
• Monitor open orders, lead times, and delivery schedules; resolve issues proactively.
• Use our internal systems to maintain accurate purchasing records and track procurement metrics.
• Analyze purchasing trends and contribute to supplier performance and cost-saving initiatives.
Required skills and qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of combined experience in project management and procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex timelines.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred:
• PMP certification or equivalent project management training.
• Experience sourcing for low-volume, engineered, or specialty products.
• Background in HVAC, ecommerce manufacturing, or filtration products.
• Understanding of Lean, JIT, or Agile manufacturing principles.
