The Role As Retention Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in deepening customer relationships and building long-term loyalty. You’ll focus on creating segmented, personalized email strategies and supporting subscription and loyalty initiatives. Working closely with the Director of Retention and the broader marketing and creative teams, you’ll craft experiences that keep our customers engaged, delighted, and coming back for more. What You’ll Do Email Strategy & Execution • Drive the planning and execution of personalized email campaigns—everything from new product launches and promotions to lifecycle journeys and seasonal campaigns. • Build, audit, and optimize automated flows to reduce churn, increase subscription upgrades, and drive repeat purchases. • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to deliver polished, on-brand campaigns that put the customer first. Data-Driven Segmentation & Optimization • Leverage customer insights and behavior to deliver highly relevant and personalized communications. • Run A/B tests to optimize subject lines, promotions, timing, and frequency for maximum engagement. • Monitor KPIs and translate performance data into actionable insights and recommendations. Subscription & Loyalty Programs • Support the growth of our subscription program with targeted campaigns, win-back flows, and messaging that emphasizes value. • Partner with the Director of Retention to execute loyalty program communications that highlight benefits and rewards. • Continuously test, measure, and refine tactics to increase participation and lifetime value. Continuous Improvement • Foster a culture of experimentation, innovation, and learning in retention marketing. • Stay on top of industry trends and apply best practices across email, subscription, and loyalty. What You’ll Bring • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (advanced degree a plus). • 5+ years of experience in email marketing, preferably in eCommerce/CPG. • Hands-on expertise with Klaviyo, including campaign and flow management. • Strong knowledge of customer segmentation, journey mapping, and lifecycle marketing. • Analytical mindset with a proven ability to turn data into insights and results. • Creative thinker with excellent writing, communication, and collaboration skills. • Self-motivated, results-driven, and adaptable. • Familiarity with CBD, CPG and/ or wellness industries is a plus.
