Job Title: Retention Marketing Specialist
Compensation: $70k to 95k
Job Description
We are looking for a results-driven Retention Marketing Specialist to join our fast-growing team and help drive engagement, conversion, and customer retention through effective email, SMS and loyalty marketing campaigns. Reporting to the Director of Ecommerce, this role requires a highly motivated and data-driven individual to build and implement business strategies for our portfolio of brands that will drive growth and align with company goals. The retention marketing specialist will have the opportunity to create their own path towards success by taking ownership of retention initiatives, analyzing customer behavior, and crafting personalized communication strategies that resonate with our audience.
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute all email and SMS campaigns, including building emails and HTML, copywriting, asset coordination, QA, and scheduling.
• Support various strategic programs via manual and triggered campaigns across the customer lifecycle including prospecting, win-back, nurturing, post-purchase, loyalty, retention, surveys, and transactional emails.
• Build effective target audiences and segments to drive engagement and revenue performance against KPI goals.
• Assist in reviewing and executing email/SMS marketing calendar and ensure alignment with business priorities, demand forecasts, and internal stakeholders.
• Devise and execute A/B tests, manage testing calendar, record results, and advise on improvements. Testing includes subject lines, message content, CTAs, customer cohorts, and segments, send time, and new features intended to drive performance lift.
• Work in partnership with designers and copywriters to optimize email creative and template structure based on best practices.
• Provide regular campaign performance reports that include opens, clicks, conversions, revenue, revenue lift, unsubscribes, etc.
• Regularly identify trends in email, SMS and loyalty marketing strategies from other leading global brands to glean insights on best practices and new innovative ideas for email, SMS and loyalty marketing tactics, including audits of how we can acquire, nurture and retain these customers.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum 4+ years of proven experience in managing email, SMS and loyalty marketing programs, including strategy implementation, analytics and reporting
• Hands-on experience in marketing automation platforms such as Attentive, Bluecore and Klaviyo, Loyaly Lion, Yatpo
• Proven work experience in growing, engaging with, and analyzing the performance of a large email, SMS and loyalty marketing databases.
• Data driven and critical thinker with ability to analyze multiple data streams to create actionable insights that impact revenue growth across all ecommerce sites
• Basic Microsoft Office, Excel knowledge
• Strong project management skills and exceptional attention to detail, with ability to persevere in the face of challenges
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communicator with the ability to collaborate, build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
• A mind set of not being a finished product and are always searching for knowledge and a means to improve yourself and process. Have a "get it done" mentality.
