Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team and drive strategic financial analysis for our fast-paced e-commerce business. This role is perfect for an accounting professional with 5+ years of experience who thrives on complex cost accounting challenges, international supply chain analysis, and contributing to business growth through accurate financial insights. You'll play a crucial role in our continued expansion, working directly with leadership to optimize our financial operations across multiple international suppliers and retail channels. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Analysis: • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and comprehensive management reports • Lead month-end and year-end close processes with tight deadlines • Conduct detailed variance analysis and investigate discrepancies to drive operational improvements • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions Cost Accounting & Supply Chain: • Drive comprehensive landed cost analysis for international imports from China, India, Pakistan, and Turkey • Perform detailed monthly inventory valuations and reconciliations for finished goods • Analyze and optimize cost of goods sold (COGS) in complex e-commerce supply chain environment • Support pricing decisions to ensure optimal contribution margins across product lines Compliance & Controls: • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures for growing e-commerce operations • Coordinate and support external audits and tax preparation • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance • Ensure adherence to GAAP and financial reporting standards Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Partner with operations, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure accurate financial data • Collaborate on process improvements across finance and operational departments • Support business decision-making through data-driven financial analysis Qualifications & Requirements: Education & Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility • E-commerce, retail, or supply chain accounting experience strongly preferred • Experience with international trade, imports, and landed cost calculations is a major plus Technical Skills: • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling) • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (NetSuite experience preferred) • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI) is a plus • Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and multi-channel retail operations beneficial Personal Qualities: • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environment • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Self-motivated with ability to thrive in entrepreneurial, growth-oriented culture • Passion for process improvement and operational excellence Certifications Preferred: • CPA certification What Makes You Perfect for This Role: You're an experienced accounting professional who loves the complexity of e-commerce financial operations.
