Role description
Who You Are: As the Senior Merchandise Manager for Mens Global Merchandising - Ready to Wear, your role is critical for the Michael Kors Mens team. You will be responsible for creating a brand-right product assortment for the Global Mens business to position the brand for growth. You will work closely with the Design, Production, Wholesale, and Retail teams to ensure customer preferences are considered while balancing the overall brand guidelines and aesthetics with the desired financial objectives. What You’ll Do: • Lead the development and execution of strategic assortment based on thorough knowledge of market, brand and business while addressing needs of each region and channel • Own communication of business needs and partner with management to drive the strategic direction of Mens Ready to Wear as the key liaison between design, production, merchandising, global retail, licensing, and sales teams • Lead the global alignment of assortments & brand DNA by market as well as address the regional needs by market • Work closely with design and production on costing and product development as well as on quickly adapting on-order for emerging sales trends or declining product categories • Manage the pricing strategy with an equal focus on competitive landscape and margin goals • Generate business analyses to track sales, identify key trends and maximize opportunities to achieve continued growth and profitability for the Mens Ready to Wear business • Responsible for line planning, hind-sighting, assortment building, showroom presentation, merchandising directives, competitive shopping analysis, long lead time and liability management • Oversee direct report, including setting goals, managing workload and cultivating talent You’ll Need to Have: • Bachelor’s Degree • Experience working in a fashion brand • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience (Mens Ready to Wear Merchandising preferred) • A strong sense of the men’s market across luxury and accessible tiers • Solid comprehension of the male consumer base, including geographical differences • The ability to translate analysis into actionable business opportunities • Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills • The ability to interact with all levels of management and influence others • Strong skills in Retail Math, Merchandising/Buying metrics • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs – Specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Teams • Strong presentation skills, particularly visual presentation (Showroom set up) • The ability to thrive in fast-paced environment MK Perks: • Generous Paid Time Off & Holiday Schedule • Summer Fridays • Internal mobility across Versace, Jimmy Choo and Michael Kors • Cross-brand Discount • Exclusive Employee Sales • Fav 5 Cards (MK Discount for friends and family) • 401k Match • Paid Parental Leave • Thrive Wellness Program • Commuter Benefits • Gym Discounts At Capri, we are all responsible for creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
