Role description
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape the future of Brooklinen’s digital experience. You’ll own specific work lanes across our eCommerce platform—leading with research, designing systems that scale, and creating experiences that balance creativity with measurable business impact. If you’re excited by solving complex challenges and want to see your work influence millions of customers, we’d love to meet you. Overview At Brooklinen, design isn’t just about how things look—it’s about how they work for our customers and for the business. We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who leads with research, thinks strategically, and thrives in real-world problem-solving. In this role, you’ll run the full lifecycle of design work: from generative research and insights, to concepts and wireframes, through to polished design, QA, and iteration after launch. You’ll drive the design system forward, enabling solutions to scale across teams, and you’ll balance craft with business acumen to ensure our most critical flows—such as PDP, bundling, and lower-funnel modules—perform at the highest level. This is a highly collaborative role that partners closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Merchandising. We’re looking for someone who can operate independently, bring clarity to complex problems, and communicate design decisions in a way that builds alignment and trust across diverse partners. What You’ll Do • Own end-to-end design initiatives across key areas of the site, from research to iteration. • Lead generative research to uncover insights that shape product direction. • Translate data and research into clear, actionable design recommendations tied to business goals. • Design and evolve scalable systems, ensuring components and patterns work across multiple teams and use cases. • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that are inspiring, practical, and performance-driven. • Support experimentation by designing for A/B and multivariate tests, defining success metrics, and iterating on results. • Communicate your work clearly—through storytelling, rationale, and documentation—to bring partners along in the process. • Mentor and support junior designers, fostering growth in process, craft, and strategic thinking, and contributing to the overall growth of the team. What You’ll Bring • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). • 5–8+ years of product design experience with a portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end ownership. • Expertise in UX, UI, and interaction design, including information architecture and visual systems. • Experience leading generative research and using insights to influence roadmaps and product strategy. • Proficiency in Figma, FigJam, and prototyping tools (e.g., Framer). • A mobile-first sensibility with attention to performance, accessibility (WCAG 2.1+), and usability at scale. • Experience designing in eCommerce, with a track record of influencing measurable outcomes (CVR, AOV, retention, repeat purchase). • Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and move complex projects forward. • Strong communication skills—you can explain design decisions clearly and build alignment across stakeholders. Nice to Have • Experience designing bundling, gifting, personalization, cross-sell/upsell, or promotions. • Familiarity with analytics and testing tools (GA4, Amplitude, Optimizely, VWO, LaunchDarkly). • Experience designing AI-powered discovery, recommendations, or guided shopping experiences. What Success Looks Like • Customers move through a seamless, intuitive shopping journey that feels effortless. • Conversion-critical flows (PDP, bundling, urgency modules) launch on time, with polish and measurable lifts. • Research insights directly shape the roadmap, influencing where we invest and why. • The design system scales efficiently, enabling faster, more consistent execution across teams. • Cross-functional partners see design as a trusted driver of customer experience and business growth. • The design team grows stronger through your mentorship, collaboration, and example. As our company expands, we’re committed to creating exciting opportunities for our talented team members to grow, collaborate, and make a meaningful impact. Hybrid work? Absolutely.
