Role description
UX/UI Designer
Location: Full Time (2 days hybrid)
Level: 2-3 years working experience
At Hello Klean, we believe good design is doing more with less.
Our products solve a simple but overlooked problem: the effect of water on hair and skin. Now we’re looking for a UX/UI Designer who can translate that philosophy into every digital touchpoint — from our website and checkout to emails and campaign landing pages. This is not a role for someone who sees “checkout” as just a checkout. You’ll see it as an invitation to a story, balancing clarity with brand expression, and knowing exactly when to step back and let conversion take centre stage.
What you’ll do
• Design functional, minimal, and intuitive experiences across our website, app, e-commerce flows, email templates, and digital campaigns.
• Collaborate closely with our marketing, brand, and creative teams to ensure consistency, functionality, and storytelling are in sync.
• Create layouts and flows that are pragmatic yet on-brand, bringing narrative and function together.
• Switch lanes easily between storytelling, commerce, and brand expression.
• Build and maintain scalable design systems in Figma (or similar), ensuring design is cohesive and efficient.
• Support testing and optimisation by translating insights into improved user experiences.
Who you are
• 2-3 years of UX/UI design experience, ideally with e-commerce/DTC brands.
• Someone with a strong sense of minimalism and restraint, you believe good design is not adding more, but refining until only what’s essential remains.
• Equally comfortable designing for storytelling and conversion.
• A good communicator who can explain design decisions clearly and collaborate across teams.
• Able to balance pragmatism with brand integrity, knowing when to prioritise function, and when to create space for narrative.
• Proficient in Figma (or similar) and confident in building design systems.
• A portfolio that shows both taste and function, not just what looks good, but what works.
