Position Summary
The Vice President of Digital Marketing will spearhead the development and execution of the digital marketing strategy at Red Bull Records, ensuring the label remains at the cutting edge of fan engagement and music discovery. In this pivotal leadership position, the VP, Digital Marketing will guide the digital marketing team to excel in fan acquisition, social media strategy, content creation, and audience growth. The right candidate will be a pioneer in adopting the latest digital innovations, in leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI), and in seamlessly integrating emerging social media platforms to enhance music discovery and community building. This hire will be a specialist in effective paid media strategies and will drive significant revenue growth through digital channels. The VP, Digital Marketing will also lead the marketing team to elevate the visibility of Red Bull Records' artists, boost streaming traffic and sales, and continuously infuse the labelβs digital marketing efforts with fresh, innovative approaches.
This role will be based in Red Bullβs offices in West Hollywood, CA and will report to the Chief Marketing and Creative Officer.
Specific Responsibilities
LEAD DIGITAL MARKETING DEPARTMENT
β’ Own development and execution of the global Digital Marketing strategy for the label.
β’ Manage and mentor a team of 3 direct reports, demonstrating strong leadership and people management skills, and supporting the team to execute best-in-class digital marketing strategies.
β’ Effectively manage digital marketing budgets, in collaboration with Finance and CMO.
β’ Support the CMO in leading the wider label team to reach strategic goals and be digital in all projects and processes.
β’ Represent Red Bull Records at industry events and conferences, advocating for the label and the artist roster.
OVERSEE PLATFORM DEVELOPMENT & PARTNER MANAGEMENT
β’ Oversee label relationships with all digital platforms, including but not limited to TikTok, Meta, Snapchat, X, YouTube, Discord, etc.
β’ Oversee website, game and app development for the label and artist roster.
β’ Vet and oversee relationships with influencers, consultants, and agencies who provide digital services.
SPEARHEAD DIGITAL MARKETING STRATEGY
β’ Own social media, influencer, UGC, shortform and content strategy across the label and the artist roster to increase visibility for the label and artists.
β’ Lead the Digital Marketing team in effective YouTube strategy, optimization and monetization as well as CRM and text marketing strategy.
β’ Communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders through regular reporting and updates.
β’ Define and evaluate the success of campaigns via reporting, insights, and postmortem exercises including post-campaign analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns.
LEAD PAID MEDIA STRATEGY
β’ Supervise all digital advertising and paid media efforts for the label, ensuring campaigns always perform at optimal levels of efficiency and creativity.
β’ Effectively manage external media agencies and vet potential new partners.
β’ Stay abreast of best practices and compliance in digital advertising, data protection and copyright in collaboration with Red Bull.
OVERSEE CONTENT CREATION & STRATEGY
β’ Collaborate closely with Creative Marketing and Marketing Directors to create engaging, timely and high-quality content that achieves audience development goals.
β’ Closely monitor content seeding strategy across shortform platforms, pivoting quickly when necessary to drive optimal engagement.
DRIVE AUDIENCE GROWTH
β’ Define audience development goals and direct strategy across social media, streaming (audio and video) and paid media to meet and surpass targets.
β’ Identify and cultivate Superfan communities. Drive growth of fanbases across all channels in the digital landscape.
β’ Drive marketing innovation and streaming revenue for the labelβs catalogue on DSPs, in partnership with the Global Digital Accounts (streaming) team.
Qualifications
β’ 8+ years of experience in Digital Marketing within the Music/Entertainment industry.
β’ Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a proven track record managing teams to excel and mentoring employees to work well together. Engaged in creating a positive workplace culture.
β’ Creatively minded, passionate about music and devoted to developing artists of all genres.
β’ Analytical mindset; proficient with data analysis and interpretation, and with using insights to inform decision-making and optimize performance.
β’ Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
Compensation
Competitive salary, incentive and benefits will be offered, commensurate with the role and the final hireβs experience. Depending on the job relevant knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, network and location of the final hire, the base salary is anticipated at an annual rate in the range of $115,280 - $172,920 + cash incentives.
Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience.
