VP of Marketing The Opportunity We’re looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experimental VP of Marketing to tell the world about the company and create the category. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can manage a team and drive performance themselves — a player-coach with the ambition to build and scale a high-performing growth engine. In this role, you’ll own traffic acquisition, brand awareness, and customer growth. You’ll performance will be based on any expectation of driving massive scaling within strict payback targets. Budget within payback targets is unlimited. Key Responsibilities • Own and scale all performance and brand marketing channels — Meta, Google, influencer, 1P social, etc. (and eventually more channels like TV, podcast, etc.) • Drive efficient growth: Increase our budget while minimizing CPAs by finding channel optimizations, performance gaps, and creative efficiencies. • Set up and maintain robust multi-channel attribution, incrementality testing, and marketing analytics infrastructure. • Lead experiments: Identify new ways to drive traffic and acquisition. Build a structured testing roadmap to discover breakthrough growth strategies. • Dig into data: Analyze funnel performance in detail, uncover bugs, and spot attribution gaps or opportunities for conversion rate improvements. • Collaborate across functions: Partner with Product on ideas that can enhance monetization and conversion. • Build for scale: Prepare to grow our budget to $10M–$30M+ annually with a rigorous, disciplined approach. • Own the story: We are both a company and a movement to make the world a more dog friendly place. While performance marketing is our main growth channel, we want someone that gets our mission and leads the growth story. What We’re Looking For • Proven success scaling consumer brands (preferably in tech or marketplace businesses like HelloFresh, Rover, Airbnb, etc.). • Experience owning $2M–$10M+ annual budgets and ability to scale to $30M+. • Track record of big wins - scaling spend massively within payback targets. • Deep, hands-on experience with Meta and Google Ads — including campaign management and creative testing. • Strong grasp of multi-channel attribution models and technical setup (e.g., MMM, post-purchase surveys, 3rd party tools). • Highly experimental and data-driven mindset — you approach growth like a scientist. • Demonstrated ability to work cost-consciously — not just VC-burn-style growth. • Motivation-first: You are self-driven, sharp, competitive, and willing to outwork and outperform. • Loves remote asynchronous work, experience working across time zones. • Bonus: Familiarity with product-led growth and conversion rate optimization.
